You should visit with your family. Definitely worth a trip.

      Have a good trip, Sam.
I did this trip in 6 days. I lost about 1.5 days due to bad weather, though... So effectively, I had 4.5 days to do all my sightseeing...
Do note that Tasmania is the Australian state with the most rainfall so do build in some buffer for your trip. ✌🏼

Hi Dan, so the drone is allowed to fly around Arch? is there any rules to fly drone in Tassie? also wondering if it is easy to drive in July, we are heading there from the U.S next week..looking forward to it, yet little nervous about the weather and driving..

Have a good trip. Driving is generally safe around Hobart or Port Arthur. The areas you need to worry about is in the mountains where snow chains may be required.
Also, if you watch my Hobart video, there's a link there to the snow camera for Mt Wellington where you can check the snow status before you drive up the mountain.
