Chat GPT is still just a personal entertainer. The more specific the requests, the more it will tell false information. Its surprisingly good at bullshitting a topic answer with total confidence, so to be honest its not that good at high tier intellectual papers, but pretty good at filling in the online class discussions that waste adults time.
What worries me as a student is whether I will have to jump through all sorts of hoops in my homework, such as painful handwritten 20 page essays, registered spyware to make sure I'm not cheating, etc.

the current Education system will try to stop AI or Chat GPT as the technology might threat the revenue of education business model.

there is wayyyy to much money invested in AI and if you hault AI in one country, you lose the AI war with other countries and they will reap all the benefits. Education will have to adapt aswell as everyone who will lose their jobs to AI.
I think that as teachers we are now required to personalize knowledge so that students don't recite answers but understand the value in the knowledge gained. No more generalizations!

It will for sure make teachers obsolete. Don’t judge its abilities now but look at its potential in the future. Why should a student go to a human teacher with limitations, prejudices, educational level etc, compared to AI with its unlimited resources without the bullshit 24/7..
Education is always changing. It's now moving much faster due to technology. The way teaching looks is what is really changing!

We as educators should already have great in person questioning to know if the kiddos actually know. Also, tests should be well made. They were already cheating during Covid lol.
