The last vinyl record I ordered when I used to dj the seller sent this in with the record for free. I can't remember what that record was but I'm here listening to this almost 20 years later... He/She/They knew!
Made with some of the same gear in Rushent's Genetic studios that the Human League used to realise 'Dare!' A remix like this would have been created with several thousand physical edits. This would be dubbed very carefully onto a 'safety copy' - the original edited tape could not be rewound more than a couple of times, as it was literally held together with sticky tape, and the danger of stretching, which would ruin the timing, or snapping, was great.
Is it me or is the title incorrect. It should be Pete Shelley - Witness the Change / I Don't Know What It Is (Instrumental Version). I have the record itself here.
Standing ovation. Dance, dance, 🩰
Semplicemente fantastico.....Anni 80!!
RiP Pete..musician ahead of his time and place. Something so tribal about this track reaches down to the savage archetypes.
what a timeless, elementary dancing around

Immense.
the bit from 5:53 onwards reminds me of the end of the level on an 80's arcade game where you confront the big boss!
r.i.p. my love.
Producer Martin Rushent were the man behind the sound, just before he produced Dare with The Human League
Definitely proto Dare/Love and Dancing.

It was featured on the rave documentary by Jeremy Deller , Everybody in the place.
