Right buddy, you nailed it..... The rifles shown do not even come close to the HW99. Not in build quality and not in precision. Even a Cometa fusion or fenix will be a better choice... HW99s no1, HW30s no2, Cometa Fenix/Fusion no3. A good Hawke scope and mounts you buy separately.
@@wighillparkgunstv2257 If you look around a bit than you'll get them under 300. The HW30 you'll get for 200 and is still way better than the rifles shown in the vid. and there is 100 left for a good Hawke vantage 2-7X32ao scope that is perfect for the HW30. Cheers!
@ I must have been lucky. I got mine for £275 from TFM the week before Christmas. They sell quite a few of the HW range a lot cheaper than most places they only sell 22 calibre for some reason. I had a HW 99 sold it kicked myself ever since so bought another one. They seem a lot nicer in 22 my old one was 177 and a bit more snappy than the 22 I like this 22 even more I’ve opened her up and done the usual piston polish spring ends and cylinder polish. Very very close to my pcp now out to 30 yards. I’ll never make the silly mistake of selling this one. I’ve owned most of the HW range including the most expensive ones. Give me a sorted little 99 any day over any of the others. 😊
@@alanleneveu9783 Same here, sold my old well used 99 two years ago to a friend that felt in love with it 😅 Have to get myself a new one too. When i looked online the first HW99 that popped up was 309 pounds. If you ask a tin of pellet for free you'll get it. The .177 is indeed a bit more snappy than the 22cal. If i have my day i shoot my HW springers as accurate as my AA S410 PCP on 30 yards, i just have to work harder😅Maybe i'll order a 22cal too 🤔I own the most HW springer models too, 30, 35, 77K, 80K, 97K, 98 and soon a new 50/99 Cheers Buddy!
Excellent review. If you compare these to top end springers then yes they arnt to hot but for the price they are spot on and great entry guns. People calling them 'shite' are just missing the point and i doubt own much better.
Hats off my friend for keeping a straight face with these recommendations. This is why decent affordable springers wont happen while people are prepared to gaslight others into buying inferior junk. If people stopped buying these cheap nasty rifles the manufacturers would have to step up their game and produce something worth parting cash with. Anyone reading these comments please do yourself a favour and go German, if you cant afford a new one there are lots secondhand going for well under £300. 👍
Your No.1 is not a bad rifle and so is the Kral. The scopes on the Gamo and Kral however do not have any parallax adjustment and will need replacing almost immediately. I had that Gamo rifle in .22 and it was a horrible, loud , twangy inaccurate rifle. The magazine system is excellent however and it is a pity we do not see it on far more break barrel's. I had my Gamo tuned and reduced in power to 9flb and it was far better but still got rid. For the price of those new you would be better served getting a used Weihrauch and slapping a TBT kit in. Treat it well and it will last forever. The same can not be said for those cheaper options. I will stick with my HW99. 97k and 90k. Stick a rifle like the Gamo in the hands of a new shooter and he will soon become disenchanted if he does not get the opportunity of shooting a quality rifle and a scope that has either AO or side parallax. You can buy a HW99s for about £280, that would be your best sub 300 rifle.
Do you find the trigger on the sumit like an sx19 from smk? Very spongey. Also please look after your fingers and hold the barrel when loading a break barrel. Is just a lot safer. Thanks for the video. Is nice to see the cheaper end of the market covered.
The remmington express and hw99 should of been on the list . Not that plastic tat you had as 2 and 3 . And yes I've found plenty places selling the hw99 for under 300
All the guns you have stated are complete rubbish, and that come from someone whos a gunsmith and works for a large gun company, people dont buy these get a decent second hand rifle
Great review. I’d would of had the HW 99 in there at £275 I’d say its unbeatable

Absolutely the HW99 is fantastic. However the RRP is £330 so didn’t fall into this category. But no question. They are fantastic

Thank you. Yes I think the point of the video has been lost somewhat
Good review

A little concerned for you as when loading the pellets you don’t keep one hand on the barrel.
Is the crossman loud?
No louder than any other spring rife. The Gamo is fairly noisy

HW 99s All Day Long. No Brainer.
The remmington express and hw99 should of been on the list . Not that plastic tat you had as 2 and 3 . And yes I've found plenty places selling the hw99 for under 300
Pay about 280 get the 99s pay more and get the excellent 95.
Trouble is the scopes self distruct cheap.
Never buy a factory rifle/scope set is my advice. The scopes are mostly crap.
Just here for the comments as all the rifles on this list are shite
All the guns you have stated are complete rubbish, and that come from someone whos a gunsmith and works for a large gun company, people dont buy these get a decent second hand rifle
What do you reckon to the reximex stuff?
Gamo are total rubbish the Gamo scopes are total garbage and are not fit for purpose stay clear of them save up for something better.
Hw99s
With all the gun tec out now you couldn’t pay me to use a break gun not in a million years
Ive heard say all 3 of your recommendations suck accuracy eise
