Don’t know..how safe to visit beach in pandemic 😷
We RV and travel during off seasons. You can see it, hardly any people ♡ very easy to still explore, travel and experience amazing places this way ♡

Tybee Island looks beautiful with its old houses and that lighthouse, I love it! Kids don't seem to feel the cold if it involves the beach, lol. Fun day, I'm sitting here trying to take a deep breath of that fresh air, hahaha. Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
When you both drive through Savanah you will have to make a beach trip as well- Tybee is very close! The old homes were some of my favorite! Love the big old porches ♡We stayed over in skidaway state park with the rv.

Georgias beaches are not as well visited as other locations- but they are just as beautiful

I think if we go back id like to see the secluded tiny tybee island that you have to row a boat to.

That is an amazing place. Love the big old homes. The beach is pretty to. That is some cold water play. Funny how the kids the cold has no affect but us adults feel it for days. lol Looks like a lot of fun. Great seeing y'all. It is never to cold for snacks. lol That candy store looked like Willie Wonka. lol
I liked the row of old homes alot actually- huge big porches and trees, very southern! Id love to sit with a glass of ice tea 😆

We have always wanted to go to Tybee Island! We first heard about it because we wondered where Hwy 80 ended and looked at a map and discovered that it ended at a town called Tybee Island and that is how we discovered that it existed and now we hope to go there one day! We had planned to go to Tybee Island last spring break before COVID ended that idea LOL! Love the drone shots!

I always forget that Georgia and other southern states have coasts, lol. This looked like a beautiful beach and a fun adventure!! I miss the beach... even though we have one nearby we don't go as often, especially with the pandemic bc they're all crowded here :(
I know it was mostly because its considered winter here, but the coasts were empty. I've been to California shores in the winter also and it's still chilly, but you are right, likely more people. The only place we didn't see people was in Pacifica south of San Francisco.
Love this beach. We will have to visit when we visit Savanna. It has so many things to do. Drone footage was amazing too. -Bill and DeAnna
We stayed at skidaway state park while visiting this area and it was very convenient to everything. So much to explore!

We were at Tybee island a few years ago. It was freezing the day we were there. We were not brave enough to get into the water. Lol Lynn and Danny
Kids are always brave lol. But I'm with you!
Love Tybee Island! Lived there for a few years and miss it a lot! Sunrise is one of my favorite places for breakfast. Hucapoo's Pizza is also a great place to eat. Did you get a chance to explore Little Tybee? We used to take our kayaks across the back river and camp out on our own private beach. Good times!
We didn't but its on our list for warmer times ♡ people had mentioned it was empty and you could row out to stay the night. What a fun place to have lived!
@@OurNationalAdventure The only bad part is the sand gnats and sand spurs. Also, be careful crossing that river. Depending on the tide schedule, it can be pretty rough to paddle across. It can get dangerous. Yes, living on the island was awesome. Worked from home and didn't have to leave the island. Rode the beach cruiser most places and would commonly have lunch at the pier. We would get sandwiches from IGA and just watch the waves roll in.
Great time to go less weed smoke in the air .

Looks like fun for the whole family especially the kids. It's cold but the kids are running around and don't feel it. Wow ice cream to top it all off.

You don't find sea shells like that on the west coast. 😭
The father up the east coast we had seem deep deep blue shells and bright orange. Its interesting the colors and shells that come onto the shores.
