- Back Visiting The Mach Loop: It Feels So Good To See F35 Again. This past year as been a tough one for the children and myself, for me it's been work, work, work, pretty much every day, to make sure I keep a roof over our heads.
I've not been able to visit the Mach Loop since February and only been up there a few times this year, it's completely change from what I used to do, the last few years I've visited places like the Mach Loop and other low fly areas in the UK, as well as air bases a few times per month, to try and create content for you all to enjoy, unfortunately, a lot has changed since then for the 4 of us.
So, for myself, being able to take a trip up there last week was absolutely amazing, just being up on the hills to reflect on things, is extremely good for my mind.
I met up with some of the guys that I've formed a friendship with over the years, just from us all having the same aviation interests, so just being around them was great, unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch up with all of them, maybe next time.
And to top it off, the trip, produced some great days, I managed to see the locals, Texan T1 and Hawk T2 based at RAF Valley, A400M based at RAF Brize Norton, a new aircraft fro me to see through the Mach Loop, a Prefect T1 based at RAF Cranwell, also some frontline aircraft, USAF F-35A based at RAF Lakenheath and RAF F-35B Lightning II based at RAF Marham.
All in all, it was an awesome visit for me to the Mach Loop.

Great video, not been there myself yet. I like the way you got all types of craft going through there not just the jets.
Thanks. It's wirth going even if it's only once, but must warn you, if you manage to see anything you can quiet easily get hooked on it. Yeah, sometimes there is a variety of aircraft going through. Some days you might not see anything but they scenery itself on a good day is spectacular.

Yeah, It sure looked that way, the first 2 passes of 2 F-35B in the morning only passed through where we all were once, but went through other parts of the loop twice, we're lucky they did it once, they could quiet easily have come of out Bwlch Exit and turned right for Bala, but thankfully they didn't.

Great work Darren, but one thing i noticed is how different the RAF F-35B sounds with that high pitched scream compared to the F-35A`s, but still really enjoy all of them, Well Done!!

I think I'd need to video them both going through the same valley, The first 2 USAF F-35A's that went through first on the video went through Bwlch, which is a little wider than the valley that the RAF F-35B's went through. but there's no doubt a little difference in sound between the 2 aircrafts.

Never seen a Grob prefect T1 in the loop ever.
It's a new one for me through there. 3 different ones went through, but different heights, so chose this one for the video.

I completely missed the F35 being our RAF B variant, I thought they were F35a's from Lakenheath, mind you the light was challenging to say the least.
Can't wait to get back again sometime soon 🤞
