I always figured that Luke sounded more breathy in this because this isn’t real. Julie sounds more “contemporary” in this because it’s her dream and it’s real for her
The guy is a ghost that died 25 years earlier. The technology gap is significant. I think the fact it was a kid's program didn't help. Netflix had made some bad programing choices and was in a bit of a cash crunch. I was hoping someone else would pick it up. Madison being 16 didn't help. Too much time has elapsed. I don't know if the show could be restarted.
It was the same guy, Charlie Gillespie, singing. As a matter of fact, he and Madison Reyes, who plays Julie, wrote this song together and it's beautiful!

Madison (Julie) and Charlie (Luke) wrote this song!!!! Luke is a ghost. That’s why she passes though him, but she’s dreaming about him (in dance class while she’s dancing with another guy) and so now they can actually touch each other (because she’s dreaming, that’s why he came through the mirror).
In the second season, this would have been possible since they all were more solid and could physically touch. In S1 they had limited chances to physically touch since ghosts can only become solid for a short period of time. I imagined Julie being taken to court by the only living member of the group and thewe havoc it would cause to have the band poip in into a courtroom.
The director Kenny ortaga also choreographed dirty dancing which is why lukes hair is like that because he was recreating Patrick Swayze’s hair and look
Would have been nice if they could have shopped the show to another service or network. MTV comes to mind or a kids channel nick Jr or nickelodeon. At this point an animated show wiith adjustments would be ideal you only hear their voices so their age is no longer a problem a good 3D recreation from the first season, so they resemble the charactrers.

I loved this show I am still pissed but it is just in a long line of shows that have been prematurely cancelled by Netflix. Like most recently Warrior Nun. But this show Julie and the Phantoms is still worth the watch the acting and musical talent speaks for its self.

I think the biggest shock was that Maddison (The actor of the girl) was like 15?? when they recorded this, like i know my voice was nothing like that when i was 15.
The shows is about Julie and the boys basically That’s Luke but he has two other band members Alex and Reggie their ghost but Julie can only see them but when they perform together everyone can see them but they pretend they are an Holograms
So the dance scenes in the black room are from the scene where they sing the song. The whole song isn't sang in the show but there is a full version. Whoever made the video filled in the unsung part with clips from the show which is why it seems so disconnected
