This is actually depressing since the story depends on asking for outside gifted funds to get the property if you are trying to stay in your place. How many people can ask for more than $200,000 to "win" a bid? I don't see very many people winning against a system that requires a full cash buyout.
I'm a realtor in the Los Angeles area. Many of my Buyers are priced out of the very communities that they have grown up in here in Northeast Los Angeles. SB1079 seems like a great way to get them into a home in their community. BUT, is a cash buyer needed? Or, are they able to get financing? Did you say that there is a bank that is doing financing for SB1069 transactions?
Nothing like watching a bunch of people who obviously have little understanding of the trustee's sale process discuss new regulations also obviously written by people with no understanding of the process. Insanity.
Bravo, I'm in title insurance and think this is the best thing I've seen in a long time.
