Great tip, I was wondering how I was going to do that. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. The A elbow trick is definitely something ill be trying. I also agree with the add on piece being at the top instead of bottom. Thanks for the tips
Thanks for the input man!
Nice video OGG..true tech tips I have used for years..the top part of the downspout is called a "cross arm". I usually put the drop(outlet) in at the truck.it's a time saver. When going up a ladder to measure the gutter,,, take 3 measurements...the over all gutter length , where the drop(outlet) goes, (measure to the center of where you want the downspout) and the overhang to make the cross arm....*formula = overhang minus 6 inches is the middle piece of the cross arm....* formula for lower part of downspout is measure from bottom of installed cross arm , to the ground and minus 12 inches...gut'r done..
Heck yeah!! Let make that bread!
Excellent thanks. This solves my problem.
Your welcome!
I’m about to start a job that requires diverting a downspout’s routing and involved this A to B dilemma. I think this is going to provide the solution I was looking for.
Glad i could help!
thank you so much you save my day🙏🏼🙏🏼
Happy to help!
Awesome! You just got another subscriber
Thanks for the views. Ill be uploading again soon!
I appreciate your wisdom! I'm installing gutters on my girlfriends house> the fascia is slanted with a 1x2 at the top of the fascia underneath the drip edge, should I remove the 1x2 before installing gutters with 47' run. It makes sense to me to remove it to allow the drip edge to properly work with the gutter while maintaining drainage. Any thoughts, ideas, information is appreciated.
With all them tips, a tip for you would be to put your screws on the top of the maker so they are hidden it looks much cleaner
I always hated that look of making a A into a B elbow but in your case if your using 5" gutters with 3x4 elbows i can see where you would want to use an A style. Here in tennessee i havent done but 1 5" job in 2 years, 6" and 7" all the way.
Thanks for the feed back!
For specificity he is talking about strictly 6inch ds since 2x3 ds would be done with a sideways punch and 3x4 ds has the same hole for every elbow regardless
Spot on! Unless it's a repair where I have to match the other Downspouts, I exclusively put on the 3x4 Downspouts.
may try nice vid
Heck yeah thanks man!
Thank you
No problem!
If you use good round outlets you won’t have that problem. Call Raytec.
Or u could just use a circular outlet
I like X out hole punch. I fell like circle outlets dont let out as much water. But that would work for sure.
Wrong backwards upside down inside out lefty righty righty lefty upsy downsy innie outtie me casa e su casa.
J.k this is perfect or you could just use a b elbow and a wide mouth outlet or just not use ds at all just let it evaporate hahahahahaha
