- I love driving in the woods, down dirt roads that wind their way through hills, mountains, over creeks and rivers, often passing the Appalachian Trail in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. #driving #dashcam #exploringtennessee

Thanks for coming along on the ride!
Just went up there this past Monday with a couple buddies! Really cool place, we went all the way up to Rich Mtn. Firetower! Then over into hot springs after that.
The fire tire is nice. I like Mill Ridge too. Thanks for watching my video.
I was up in Bumpus cove cemeteryback at Christmas time looking for my 3 rd great deamdparwnts phillio Sheridan Yates and Elizabeth ( chase) Yates graves. Ran into a 73 year old guy who told me gamecwardena told him they bring the nuisance bears from Gatlinburg and smoky mountains National forest and turn them loose 7n Bumpus cove wildlife refuge. So them black beats could easily wander back over into that paint creek and hurricane gap areas.
I run into the black bears a lot, but I have never had any issues with them. I bring bear spray just in case I need it. When you’re hiking trying to make a little noise so any bears in the area know you are approaching. I lived in this area for an entire year in a Chevy Astro motorhome. It was the best year of my life! I stayed at Mill Ridge and Hurricane Gap. I would move about every three days.
Looks similar to logging road up on holston mountain of northwest side towards south holston lake. I drive on island Sunday from hqt 19E from elixabethton all the wY up towards 421. Comes out there at abour same area where Denton Valley road goes north off of hwy 321.
Soon I am going back up there to ride on Jacob's creek and government road that runs all the way into Damascus, va.
Damascus, Virginia is a nice little town. Thanks for watching my videos.
At the beginning of this video were you driving on lower paint creek rd over towards hurricane gap road?
Yes 👍.

Do you happen to have the forest road number that you travelled on here?
It is off Asheville Hwy in Greeneville, TN. You can reach the road by going into Paint Creek Corridor. The name of the road is Hurricane Gap Logging Road. On the east end, you can reach the road by Hwy 70/25 in Hot Springs, NC. The Appalachian Trail crosses the road. Also, there is a look out tower on Rich Mountain. This logging road will take you to the tower. It is beautiful at the tower. Thanks for watching and commenting. Google Maps will take you to the tower on Rich Mountain.
