- Perform at own risk, in this video I describe how to remove the ignition key core on a Mercedes ML 320. May work for other models. Thanks!
Very helpful never seen before may have to use in future
Had a little trouble getting the tumbler cover back on because I didn't pay attention to the key position when I removed the tumbler, but once I figure it out, no problem reinstalling it. Your video is really helpful and saved me some serious $$$$. Thanks
Awesome Video. 🔥 Absolutely Mandatory maintenance.
The Best ❤
You, Yes you, if you are here to find out how, listen to every word he says.
I had a heck of a time putting it all back in. but he said it!
Mister you saved me from a lot of $$$$ Sir. Thank you!
Technically it's a transponder switch that reads the chip in the key/fob. The ignition switch is further down that the main ignition or power harness plugs into. These are also known to go bad. You unplug it and release some plastic tabs and it comes out. It's only a $30 part to replace. P/N 1685451004

Did you replace anything or just took it apart and put it back where can I fine the switch
Hey i have a question did you use a after market Tumbler? Or Dealer Tumbler? Also I don't have that Key you are using i have the box one with the blade? Can i still remove the tumbler cylinder with that key?
Also does your battery need to be connected or disconnected?
Hi, it was just the stock tumbler, not aware of aftermarket ones, usually have to get one from a parts yard. I just removed it to remove one of the wafers that was being problematic. Any key that will turn the cylinder will work. You do not need to unhook the battery as long as you don't unhook the antenna box for the DAS or turn the key to the starter engage position. I suppose it wouldn't hurt if you are really concerned about accidentally unhooking something that could cause a DAS problem or if you are going to be repeatedly turning the key many times it may be prudent to do so as too many unread attempts on the DAS may cause an issue but I'm not 100 percent sure. Hope that helps, Thanks!
i have ml55 i my clint lost the keys what can i do to make new kes
You actually don't show the removal of the actual ignition switch inside the housing for thatis what a real video of this problem needs to be made because I can not find a video of such. Olease elaborate to include the real ignition switch you just show how to remove the cylinder not the switch so change the title please
