My broody hens look after themselves like they have done for thousands of years, I just put them in a shed by themselves with food and water and pay them a visit now and then.
@@neweverymorninghomestead5024 I have a few different breeds and my Swedish flower chickens are quite docile but not the best layers as averaging 4 eggs a week but their colour makes up for less eggs lol, but the best I ever egg layers I ever had was the white leghorns.
Thanks for the suggestion! I don't have an extra predator-proof coop or pen laying around to use 3 weeks out of the year, every other year or so. So into the garage dog kennel she goes! :-)
So sweet, your a very good kind lady. Keep it up, quite informative in a ❤ relaxing way.
You are so sweet with your hen. I'm going to try getting my hen off her eggs to check things out. Mine is not as kind, I don't think. 😂 I'm scared.

Sounds like the legend of the nice rooster. I have yet to meet one! Lol!

Same here. Just make sure they have food and water nearby and they are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves and their clutch of eggs.
Would love to see when they hatch!
I just posted that video last night! :-)
Thankyou I took mine out and she was mad until she saw the grass.
Candle the eggs to see which ones are developing and turn and mark the eggs
If you know what your doing it's simple. You don't pin them up in a pin in the garage. Fix a pin outside and she with poop where she is supposed to.

Wow what nice birdie you got there, is than an orpington? It's kind of pricey here in our country.
Yes, she's a buff orpington. She's so sweet!
I take mine out every day to get a drink a food
I had NO idea that could happen 😱
