Do to me trying to come up with some answers for the strange things, with the pillager one, pillagers can run out of arrows. Seeing the person had a raid bar, it seems likely that the pillagers ran out of arrows while the character was killing the others.
I don't know why this is confusing, perfectly normal stuff that happens on a weekly basis
