We Found a Free NordicTrack iFit Treadmill | Can We Fix It? | iFit App Deleted

- This week we found a free NordicTrack iFit treadmill and fixed it for free. We discovered that the iFit app on the Android 2.2 tablet had been deleted. Using Nordictrack tech support we were able to bring the treadmill back to life.

I also have a Nordic track treadmill. The treadmill is great but ifit is terrible. I can’t believe you actually got through to tech support. We are still under the original warranty and are having computer problems also. We have been trying to schedule a tech for almost three weeks getting the total runaround. Love the machine HATE the support!
Nice work, Dave!!! I love the ingenuity and the leap of faith. I have a NordicTrack as well, about 2 years old and absolutely love it. Ifit isn’t worth the money, keep with your peloton app. Thanks for the video!
You don’t have no idea how grateful i feel to you. You are my savior. My 10 year old Nordictrack Elite 5700 started crashing after some ifit auto upgrade. That forced me to remove the app. In hindsight i shouldn’t have done that foolish act. Your post helped me resurrect that. The link that you have given helped me doing that. After going through hundreds of useless posts from many others, yours was the only one that could save me. You are a good man. God bless you.

Great work saving it from a landfill! We just moved our Nautilus treadmill to a new house & it was a NIGHTMARE. I can’t imagine moving it down a set of stairs into a basement.😳

You are the man I got a treadmill and did the update and reprogrammed it using some card on eBay that rendered it like how your screen was and I was about ready to give up and this video came thru on my phone at dinner,so I tried that first link and I’m back running again literally 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have an 2015 Elite 9700 Pro I purchased in 2015. Still works.
However, they stopped supporting iFit on these units in August 2023. That means it cannot access WiFi. So essentially, the Android cannot ever be updated again.
Only thing that can be used now is Manual Mode per the rep I spoke with.
Mechanically, everything works on it still - HR strap, motor, console, all of it.
Motor had a very slight squeak recently on the fan side of it. I just sprayed a little silicone on it and the squeak vanished.
It’s been a great machine, but just frustrating that they literally sent an over the air update that took away the ability for WiFi, effectively rendering the technology obsolete.
With a lifetime warranty that they provided back then on the motor and frame, I plan on “running” it into the ground.

I had a friend with an exercise bike. We would move it from her basement to her upstairs bedroom. She would use it for a while until she was hanging clothes on it…..then it would go back to the basement. The joke was that we got more exercise out of moving it! Lol 😂 Great find on the treadmill.
I don't blame you, I wouldn't have wanted to carry it down there in the first place lol I'd have been like "yup, this looks beautiful with the living room decor" 😂🤣
Great you had some success! My 2017 2450 Commercial will not download anything at all. I get the message "Data connectivity problem. A secure connection could not be established." No response from Support. No Ifit phone support in Australia. Waited for weeks for a call from the US, who eventually told me I would need a new console. They do not make them anymore.

Welcome to the frustrating world of NordicTrack. My 2014 model stopped working, replaced the motor, power board and controller board (2times). Was going to replace a few cables but they do not make them anymore; I believe most Nordic Track problems are due to their software. They stop making new parts after a few years, anything from 2016 and later they do not make new parts. After 4 months I got it to work with the old controller and did a factory reset, just have to wait and see how long it will work.

I have this exact same treadmill. Nordictrack Elite 5700. Since an ifit update a few months ago, the ifit splash screen pops up and then everything freezes. Since ifit ended support on this model, ifit support told me to dispose of my treadmill. I'm perfectly happy using it in manual mode. How did you load the apk files onto the treadmill? I was able to download two of the apk files, but I got a 404 error when I went to the one labeled fix. Any help is much appreciated!
I connected the treadmill tablet to the Internet. Then I used the browser to navigate to unload the APK files.
@@FrugalFitDad Thanks for the response. I am not able to connect to the internet because the Nordictrack screen is frozen on the ifit logo splash screen. I can't get to the menu to go to the internet settings or the browser.
I connected a USB cable to the USB port and it booted up! I think I'm all set.

This did not work for me. Says I still need Sd card
All I know is the proform carbon T10 will NOT connect to my iphone. New phone and software, Tried apple fitness, ifit cardio app, ifit, and a few other apps on the iphone. The connect devices on the treadmill only shows my TV. The treadmill does NOT show up in my bluetooth devices on the phone, either. Several calls into support and transfers and no solution. Dropped calls. I HIGHLY recommend to NEVER buy a proform device as they're more interested in getting money from you on the continuing subscription and don't really care if the equipment actually works.
