Litex Close Up Ceiling Fan

If any of you recall, I have a five blade Litex Close Up on this channel. This one is it's older sibling, the six bladed Litex Close Up. The fan was manufactured by Air Cool in May 1983. This one is an older model Close Up I found on Marketplace. This fan has had better days. When I got it, two arms have been replaced. The replacements were two completely different arms. The seller gave me the rest of the replacements and then I realized I had arms similar that may fit the fan, so I took three of each set for six blades. The finish was originally antique brass, but it was damaged beyond repair, so I said "You know what, because the blades were stained walnut then stenciled instead of the paper veneer with stencil, I might as well paint the fan brown. The project was successful for the switch housing and the arms, the housing took more time to do. Other than that, now I got the product I was looking for: a brown six blade Litex Close Up. If the original finish was not gone, I would have left it antique brass. The blades were a PAIN to clean. Forty years of grease, grime, and dust. They are still a little bit dirty, but at least they are better than they were before. The light was added on. It's a spare fitter I got from the thrift store. Since it is the one that was turned into a whole ceiling light, that's why there were holes on top. The vent screen is missing, but I have plans to cut one out like I did for the five blade sibling. Despite having a large spinner motor, the fan seems to spin slower than usual. I suspect the capacitor may be drifting on this fan. When I get the capacitor changed out and a new screen cut, I will do an update video with commentary. Despite the slower speeds, the fan still moves good amount of air for a hugger. This is another dream fan and it's looking like a piece that is filling a gap in my dream board. This fan is said t be quite rare.

The stencil design on the blades of this fan are the more ornate stencil instead of the standard Casablanca stencil.
