Is it a shortage of housing or AFFORDABLE housing? Everywhere you go, all you see is homes, apartments and condos for sale or rent.

      It's affordable housing, no doubt

If Portland is not afforable then houses wouldn't be selling for over askin, apartment vacancies would be higher. It's completely affordable to those buying here. Do you mean subsidized housing?

@@pdxyyz4327are you being intentionally disingenuous or are you just stupid?as a local in Portland there are units open EVERYWHERE the problem is AFFORDABLE housing.

They need to go over 15 stories to help with enough housing, and havijg downtown become more vibrant and less traffic for portland overall. People need to live in the city center for less car use.

So where did they relocate that Post Office anyways?

It’s still there, open for business in that small section that’s not torn down yet. They’ve told me, once the new structures are finished, they will move into one of those developments and the last bit of the old building will get demolished. I sure hope that’s true because it is harder and harder to get to Post Office locations living downtown without a car. If only that VERY CRUCIAL bit of informations had been covered in this stupid video!

Will that development have places for homeless and drug users and dealers their own areas to operate from and put tents down? It would be considered discriminatory if no plans for that are included. I am sure that advocacy groups will demand it and threaten law suit if excluded.

Hey, can i get in? I have been in the same place for nearly 20 years now, because waiting lists are over 3 years! How would i apply?! I am concerned about the height however? DT Portland, is dangerously close to an Earthquake fault line.

10 minutes of questions and info yet all I wanted to hear was some confirmation of a version of the current post office still being located there. Bad enough we lost the USPS on 24th (since they moved it way over behind the freeway, it’s nearly worthless to get to on foot now).
