Man I just found your channel and subscribed immediately. I started collecting in ‘85 and back then the ‘84 Donruss was the set to have with Mattingly, Strawberry, Carter etc. this is the most nostalgic set for me. ‘86 Donruss is a close 2nd and when UD came out with Griffey Jr. I was enamored with that card!😊 Thanks for what you are doing.
Didn’t do half bad. When I first started collecting again (pre pandemic) I set out to build my 80s collection by pulling all the big rookies from packs myself. I did get most all of them, starting with 81. Griffey upperdeck, multiple Ripken, sandberg, Gwynn, Boggs, Clemens, Canseco, etc…but the 84 donruss Mattingly was the one elusive one for me. They were far more expensive packs so that’s a big part of it, but I ripped probably 5 racks myself and a handful of packs, but never did hit one. Bought a few packs at a twin oaks show last year but they were clearly searched.
