      Hi bricks for wheels - thanks for the comment. I'm thinking all I've learned about making videos, and that video could be soooo much better. But yes, you're right - there are lots of jobs for truck drivers. It's just getting that bit of experience that's a challenge. All the best, Cheers Rick

    Heard many reasons AGAINST but refreshing to hear reason FOR.. thanks!!! I have my Class 1 in Canada and at the young age of 61. Don't stop - age is also a benefit to trucking - if you like to drive you'll stay busy - not forced to retire.

    I never thought about being a trucker before, but honestly, I am over the typical office job. Sure it’s probably not as great as it is in my head, but damn getting paid decently to see the country. I have a good friend who’s an owner operator and just bought his own semi, and another friend who just got hired and they both love it.

    Any Tips for an 18 Year old interested in this buisness Industry What should i be doing for now?

    • @smartdrivetest
      @smartdrivetest  6 років тому

      Hi Je820rry - Thank you for your comment. Do you have to wait until you're 19-years-old or 21 to get your CDL license? I would suggest getting a job where you can drive a bigger vehicle. If you work for a moving company or other such place, often they have larger vehicles with a passenger vehicle license. Also, work for companies that pull trailers. All the skills you learn pulling trailers are applicable to the larger units - especially backing. And you could probably get your air brake ticket. In most places you can get your air brake endorsement on your passenger vehicle license. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick
