That voice! My mind is blown all over again. These recordings she's been giving us are so precious. Somehow her final audio sounds "cloudy", which is such a shame because it loses most of the airy and smooth top end frequencies of her voice. I restored it here. Her production ideas are so seasoned already. The minimal instrumentation here is genius. At 0:38 she adds a synth emulating a Hammond organ through a slowly rotating Leslie speaker. It blends with the guitar beautifully, which is how it would be done by a professional. Just give her a fully equipped studio already and she will become a one-woman music making force the world has never seen before.

I of course love it....how could you not, but I am here on a different matter, I am not sure how to go about this, but I recently reacted to "A Better Life" by this jewel, but it was the ACL version, I flipped it an faded it, then I realized, you are the curator of that concert, at least from what I gather, How would I go about getting your permission to react to the songs from that concert? This is of course for my GV reaction channel, and of course if you are indeed the keeper of such material, and most importantly, if you are okay with said reactions. It is my favorite of her concerts, period, she is the epitome of adorable throughout this whole concert and it would be an honor to have the privilege of reacting to it as it has been 5 months since I have watched it hoping to find a way to react to it
@@JmanTheVanderwaalFan Hey Jman. That video of ACL was produced by Redbull. They own the rights and everything. I was the only one who recorded it when it livestreamed. So it's on my Vimeo. I don't own the rights. Redbull has arrangements with YT to automatically take it down if anyone uploads it, fully or partially. Your reaction video is still up, so that means YT's automated detection system didn't catch it. It might in future and take it down. Until then you're good. And you can react to the rest of the concert as you wish. I've been just making the video available to fans on Vimeo and also on my FB. I don't own it. You should flip it and fade it like you did. That way hopefully your videos will remain up for a long time.
How Grace can perform like that just sitting in her bedroom-no production team-no hair and make-up, no clothing assistants-just her voice and make it a spectacularly great version is astounding!

Beautiful voice. Grace has got such a nice tone and control. She has captured the essence of this song as if she came from that era.
Awesome! Although Grace sings many genres very well, the Jazzy/Bluesy genres are right in her wheelhouse. She's a natural at it. I hope her agents and producers have recognized this and will have Grace record and promote some songs/covers of this genre in the future.

Grace has found her low register voice. What a treat! On her funny spoof "Baby", I almost fell over on a few of those low notes. Now it seems a regular feature. Lucky us! She sounds like Karen Carpenter, had Karen been pickled in smoke and whiskey. Grace's voice is truly a gift to music.

Wow, I felt in the golden years of the 50's, wonderful period for history, space race, changes in fashion, music, photography, architecture and many others, the song is wonderful and what makes us proud is seeing Grace dive into the composition , redesign and with a lot of sensitivity without compromising the essence of the work and giving birth to a new work. I just watched her sing "All About That Bass," a song I absolutely hate and think it is a horrible song. 2 days ago, i would have said there was no hope for that song, today, Grace has upheld herself as the amazing singer she is, I now have zero doubt, she can sing about dirt and I would buy that single.
Her voice is the best I have ever had the pleasure, nay, honor of listening too. She is soooooooo goood, and "Cry Me A River," forget it, out of this world! This girl has no idea she has this impact on us, no clue, but let me tell you this, she is by leaps, and bounds, by far no doubt, without question, the best alive, and that has ever lived, we should feel so lucky to have her in our midst, we do not deserve her, and we will not get another one like her, possibly ever.

@@SamBorgman It is a song for which I detest, something I do not do often. But Grace has such a tone to her voice, such an amazing ability to take a song and make it better. I guess I should have expected to that she would do no less than make it that much better, as I have found, she ruined "Be True To Your School" by the beach boys, at least their version. She made it better and I love it more. I now refuse to listen to one of my favorite Billy Joel songs, Vienna, because I loved Grace's version so very much, I am afraid it will ruin the nostalgia of that song for me, so I shall keep it where it now belongs as Grace has owned it and made it her own, Billy is one of the untouchables in my world, and the young Brave Grace Vanderwaal, took it and brought a touch of newness to it with a fresh perspective, but that voice, the first note, I was hooked, and this girl can do no wrong.

Since you're an expert in this area, maybe you can point me to some instructions that show how to record just the audio from these (UA-cam, Instagram, etc.) and put them in a format for an iPhone to make them more portable. Is there a way to do that? I can listen to Grace almost endlessly. There's probably 30+ songs and snippets I would love to have on my portable devices, many of them from your site. I don't know anything about the legality of it but there must be a way.

Would she ever release all these, even though many of them are just her playing around? Think about it: I Can't Help Falling in Love With You, Pity Party, The Good Just Gets Better, Ex's & Oh's, In The Backyard, Vienna, Riptide, Lonesome Town, Faults, Clay Pigeons, Everyone Is Lonely, Take Me To The River, 12 Stars, etc. etc.
She's diminished my enjoyment of all my old favorites. And I'm o.k. with it!
Hi James, glad you liked it. You can use websites that convert YT to MP3. There are apps too, some cost money. One I know is from company called 4K: www.4kdownload.com/products/youtubetomp3/6 and one of the websites you can use for free is: 320ytmp3.com/enrX2P/ You will find lot more options if you Google "UA-cam to MP3".
I doubt she will release an album of covers like this anytime soon. But wouldn't that be a treat! I think it would sell so much more and will keep selling as more people discover her recordings of their favourite classics. Among the 4 originals you mentioned, maybe Fault would get released, I hope. Backyard is likely to be released too. But the other two are too old to her, I don't think she will ever have them produced for release. Maybe one day when she is older, those could be released in a "B Sides" kind of album.

Same for me. Never really been a fan of any artist. Never waited for new songs and kept up with any news from them. Same for many others I know. It’s kind of a strange thing and she hasn’t even really started full throttle yet as an artist. Not even close. Even Grace herself has no idea how far she will go.
She has a wonderful voice, tone is spectacular, right there with Angelina. Those two should sing together.

Is there any way to clean up, modify, magnify, or do whatever you do to the Cindy Lauper "True Colors" number? It looks like a nasty cell phone recording with all that background noise but would be so amazing to hear a better version.
It can be improved a little bit probably. Really bad audio don't improve so much. The main reason I never do those is ownership of the recordings. Whoever recorded and posted it, they wouldn't appreciate me repairing and posting it, that's a faux pas. I've fixed audio for a few people who asked me to improve their recording, then they posted it themselves. (Freddie is one. I hope you've seen his Troubadour videos, Grace's first tour's first show. It was amazing.) But I can't share someone else's recording, not publicly. Which one is the best recording? Link me, I will work on it and send it to you on Discord.
Actually I can probably combine best parts from multiple recordings. Sounds like a new kind of challenge. Should be fun.
