Yeah idk if Sal just happens to consistently pick great Superman comics for the show or if Superman stories bring out great stuff for back issues in general. But the Superman episodes almost always turn out great

Any DC comic with krypton in it is wierd and a good time. DC make the weirdest decision with krypton and since the planet blown up they can do anything.

God, cybersix was the goat. The comic was bizarre, but it had no business being as good as it was. Also, I was not prepared for that conversation for cool world and cyber six the show up in a Superman comic.
I had to look it up but as soon as I saw the main character and the scientist guy I 100% remember watching the show growing up and really liking it, but rarely finding it and having no idea what it was called

@wittycomment that is 2 different angel's full names, the easiest way to tell where one ends and the other begins is the numbers, with 82 white chain being one of the main cast and actually probably my favorite character
@@wittycomment Two persons. The numbers start each name. Their angles so they are beings of strict order and thus start their names for their material body's reincarnations with a number to reflect how many times they have come back from the void.

To add to Cyber Six talk: it is based on Argentinian comic which is explicitly adult and has a lot commentary about nazism. Carlos Meglia is actually the original artist who also drew the comic.

I had no idea superman actually had a secret brother in the comics that's super interesting in my opinion.

Anyways Cybersix is great....for about 5 episodes. Then they forget to have new villains in their villain of the week show.
Really loved the Cool World digression. Your frustrated description of all the half-assed-ness of that movie perfectly mirrored my own.

It warms a tiny part of my soul whenever I hear a cybersix reference. The only anime I had access to as a tiny child that nobody or their mother has ever heard of
