On my 2000 Ex I did the factory X codes springs up front and 1" shackle lift and raised it 3.5" and a 5" Ready Lift factory style spring block on rear, threw out the factory spring block. Its always better to use one block , stacking is not a safe practice. Now it clears my 35's and sits level. Handling is awesome and with addition of the stiffer factory F350 rear springs I installed I don't need to add a rear sway bar.
Also make sure you install a tapered lift block on the rear otherwise you may suffer driveshaft vibrations. This is required on all single driveshaft trucks, all Excursions have single driveshafts, so you can maintain correct pinion angle to transfer case/Trans.
Wow! Major project! I just installed RoadActive suspension on my rear leafs of my 02 excursion 7.3. These beasts are a labor of love and endless money pits! But what vehicle isn't? Thanks for sharing all the tips and tricks!
Thank you for watching!
Hey Ryan, I absolutely love the look! Can you make a video and show where you had to trim and where it rubs?
Nice work
Looks good! Are you getting any drive shaft vibration after your lift?
Looking great
Thank you!
What offset are your wheels?
How big are the rear blocks
Curious what will you do about the rust on the frame
Hey bro the excursion looks good! HOW IS THE RIDE QUALITY? I'm looking to get a 3" lift With those exact same size wheels and tires. I was looking At getting deaver Springs and billstein shocks or a custom 4 link set up but they only sell 4.5" and they are definitely $10K. My main concern is ride quality. That's why I ask.
Thank you! Honestly the ride quality on the 3” lift seems pretty smooth to me for a full leaf spring setup. This is my first excursion but coming from full leaf spring f350’s the ride quality seems way better. Idk if it’s an excursion thing or the new rough country springs but I cannot complain. Thank you for watching!
Hey bro what is the exact size of the tires and rims ? It looks very nice
Was curious, what's the tire dimensions? You mentioned they were 37's..x? Looks solid, brother.
Thanks man the wheels are 22x14 tires are 35x13.5
How’s the ride quality with the 3” rc lift compared to stock?
10,000$ lol an exaggeration to say the least. I just bought front and rear Skyjacker soft ride springs for my square for 1000$ shocks and brake lines will probably be 5-600$ so not cheap for sure.
Pmf lift kits, air ride lift kits, there are some lifts that are 2,000 for just the shocks. So it does get up there.
Curious? Was this the actual 3" RC excursion lift or a 3" f250 lift?? I didn't think you could fit 35s on a 3" so they say
Yes it’s an actual excursion lift. It takes a little trimming but they fit.
@ryans5757 where all did you have to trim? And do they rub the leafs?
I wonder how far will that Ford go with all that new upgrades on a same old rusty ass body.
I’m really going to disappoint you in a few months lol
Do you rub at all ?
very nice
