Yes! Thank you Greg. Victoria BC Canada in the house! We're heavy on the coastal flying around here, and I love your advice. Say, I have an advance Success 5 with the safe-t strap setup. I was having a great deal of trouble getting things adjusted properly so that I was able rock back and get properly seated in my harness after launch. None of the other fellas on the ridge were using harnesses that had the same setup as the success 5 , and it took a while to get my setup working properly. Now that it is, I love the success 5. Just thought i'd mention it to you Greg, in case you might like to one day offer an instructional for those who , in the future might also be struggling with the fit of their new gear using the safe-t leg strap system and the ingenious teeter-totter style seat board. I had not been able to find much info regarding troubleshooting the solution, while the forums were about as confused as I was. Many people with similar struggles are purchasing the stirrup to help push themselves back into their harnesses, and while the stirrup is a comfortable accessory, there remains a big open space for UA-cam tutorials on the proper setup and use of these new style of 'standard' harnesses. Love you Greg. Look at that... I'm this videos first commenter!
Essentially you are bringing the CofG forward, which makes the wing more stable, otherwise it’s too far back and hence the Shute face and angle of attack is too steep. You’re also having the affect of leaning in and pulling on the front risers. That’s what’s doing the work and flattening the wing out a bit into wind. Good tip dude. Both a more forward CofG and front riser pull are helping get the leading edge of the wing down.
At the launch site, you'll see pilots being plucked and dumped.... we have to change this!!! to Leaning into the risers with the control stance. (don't launch with your gonads....) LMAO!
I was once told of a sand beach to go to in England. After going to the beach I came back and asked the guy where the sand is. He said it’s in between the rocks. Haha.
One thing to add from my point of view: be aware that it needs concious decision to fully set brakes loose as it is somewhat inatural in that Position of the arms
Hi Greg. For those folks who perhaps cant get thier arms back and up while leaning thru the riser, is there a chance one could somehow keep hands up on the A's while leaning fowrard or something similar? Thanks, good luck with your race. Peter Bahamas
I see it, I’m taught it, but WHY? Isn’t it deficient harness design? I’m tending to these views: 1st, the harness should have a one point quick release that requires ALL points buckled AND the harness should have 2 “innate” positions of (a) launch and land, and(b) fly
Amazing how the simplest advice our instructors gave us is soonest forgotten ! Thanks Greg, for explaining it so simply.

Have Success 5 too. I love the strap system. They may not be good for acro if you need to tighten the straps to feel glued to the harness.
This is what German paragliding trainers/instructors call "Vorlage!". Thank you, Greg, for the reminder.
Suuuper underrated detail

Have started paragliding with this such launching
Hell yeah Greg! Great video.
Ground handling is always necessary
Nice❤
Yea thanks for this! I had exaclty the problem you showed in this video the other day and now I know what I was doing wrong.
Brilliant. Implemented immediately.

Are you a mind reader?
This is exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you very much indeed

Thumbs up Crag!🙂👍

So if the chest strap is crushing my ribs (and not nuts), I guess I am doing it correctly..? :)
Wani 2, the ball buster
Dang!!! That’s a nice looking harness! 😂 (that’s the only one I’ve ever had)
❤❤❤
Brilliant visualisation about launching with your gonads
👌👍🙏👋
I have some questions if you get a moment...
Gonads!!
