  • In 2015 Steven Furtick gave a message where a controversial line went viral. In this video I analyze the sermon in context. His line "God broke the law for love" was considered blasphemy by many, because people thought he was accusing Jesus of sinning. In reality it was a metaphor.

I really enjoy your correction of those who throw stones at others for not preaching the way they preach, or think they know how others should speak what God has put on their heart. Thank you, and I thank God for giving us you. We are blessed, amen!

Dear Sir, here I'd to express my sincere gratitude to you for your unwavering defense of Kenneth E. Hagin against radical heresy hunters & cessationists. The profound impact of Hagin's faith teachings & healing sermons have significantly transformed my spiritual journey. Your videos defending the late Hagin really gladdens my heart a lot, as he remains one of my favorite faith preachers.

Cessationists are the Atheists of Christianity. This is why - If you acknowledge salvation but you deny the works of the Spirit how are you different than the Atheist that acknowledges Creation but denies the works of the Creator?

@@thetruthchannel349 I wouldn't go so far as to say cessationists are the atheists of Christianity. Some christians might have cessationist beliefs because of ignorance. However, it is dangerous territory if someone attritubes the work of the Holy Spirit to satan.

Yeah, I remember when this happened. I believe my sister sent it to me. It was a very bad analogy. You did a much better job of getting the point across lol. The Lord violated, nor broke no laws in the mosaic sense with what he came on earth to accomplish through the cross. He fulfilled the law for love. The soundbite bugged me a little bit, so I understood where the heresy hunters were coming from but like just about everything, they took it to the stinking extreme 😂I’m pretty sure the wheat plucking was an oral Torah/Talmudic tradition which I think The Lord enjoyed breaking all the time😂

I agree with your analysis that Steven Furtick's "God broke the law for love" statement was taken out of context by some and his context seems correct. It would seem that Steven Furtick frequently makes these unnecesary statements that invite preventable criticism and it perhaps makes some wonder if it is intentional to obtain publicity and clicks. Even when Steven Furtick speaks, he seems to be intentionally trying to draw a crowd reaction.

    • @sandragambrel9721
      @sandragambrel9721 7 місяців тому

Yes, He is seeking a reaction. For people to love more by understanding how much God loves us. I was led through a season of discovering how much God loved me, and it changed my life. I was humbled, it made me love God more, and I started loving people more, and differently. Be honest. Are you one of the "some" that wonder?

@@sandragambrel9721 Yes, I do believe it to be a real possibility by this person. Some people don't mind being manipulated by preachers like this. Personally, I think preachers should have more respect for those listening to them. But none of this makes him a heretic though.

@@robertemard9452 How is he manipulative? Respect them how? The preacher has no idea where all of their listeners are in their walk with the Lord, or, what each one needs who is listening to him.

There is no need to "straighten out your life." Come to Christ n He will straighten out your life. There is no need to "get your act together." Come to Christ n He when you get your act together.

Very well put as it got me thinking..Since I’ve lived my life now with Christ and put my trust in him,I’ve had my life straighten out for the better..When I’ve tried by myself I was just running around in circles..Since I put my trust and life in Gods hands step by step I finally feel I’m on a good road that’s progressive.it’s taught me that God does have he’s plans for us and they are good plans.I’ve still got choice but now I’ve learnt to listen to me and my heart,”at last”, rather than thinking “what I should do like others”,or blind choosing still bewildered really.
God is love to me and always has been.Don’t mean I use this to run happy into sin,I listen and know my ethics and reason.I know to fear God as a good father.I do not want to disappoint my good father. But I know God is love and loves us.
Thank you again..God Bless you and all the best from Blighty❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸👍

Justin Peters is 'good at' catching something out of (Steven Furtick's) mouth so that he may accuse him.
Why is that esteemed and valued as an 'insight' that the rest of us overlooked?
He that comes first in his cause seems just (Justin seems just) But his neighbor comes and searches him.
Justin again falsely accuses and condemns the just. Thank God for a Rod Saunders!!!

Jesus' disciples DID NOT break the Law. Deut. 23:25 SPECIFICALLY says that, "when you enter your neighbor's standing grain then you may PLUCK the heads with your hand, but you SHALL NOT USE A SICKLE on your neighbor's standing grain". Matthew 12:1 SPECIFICALLY says that, "His disciples were hungry and began to PLUCK the heads of grain and to eat" (emphasis mine). This shows that the Pharisees did not know the Law very well; the very LAW that they were emphasizing that everyone else should obey perfectly!!

Admittedly I'm no expert on OT Law, but Deut. 23:25 doesn't seem to be addressing anything related to the Sabbath. It's just saying that you can eat some of your neighbor's produce, but you can't harvest any of it because that would be stealing. The issue in Mat. 12 was the day, not the plucking.

    • @kiimbel1877

@@JewandGreekIt looks like you are correct. I read the entire chapter of Deuteronomy 23. The do's and don'ts don't appear to have anything to do with the Sabbath. I was focusing more on the plucking in the passages in both books of the Bible. I interpreted the using of a sickle to mean working on the Sabbath.
