if my finished square/ half square triangle is going to be 2 1/2 how big of square do i start with, allowing for the 1/4 inch finished seam ? Thank you
21/2 cut or 21/2 finished. The finished size is the size of the sqs sew all the way around. Would make a the finished size of a 2 1/2 ' -2" sq =So you would (2+1 ) +(2=1) X 2 = 6in sqs. I hope this helps.
