Thankyou for making this video! Ive been searching everywhere for a guide, especially one where someone is replacing the same OE sat nav i have in my mx5. Great video, Thanks!
I bought this same unit for my son GMC Canyon. It’s his first car and this unit has a lot of features that will keep his eyes on the road and less worrying about the radio. He said he’s really happy with it. I also like the front and rear cameras!! This unit is so much better then some very very expensive pioneer Kenwood etc. those units are all garbage but yet they want top dollar!! This unit blows them away!! Thanks for the info!!
Is your Miata equipped with Bose audio?
With steering key ATOTO "key #" is key 1 and key "without#" is key 2, ground is ground
Hi! Very nice and informative video. Can I ask you, where did you put the two USB outlets in your car?
So where exactly does the radio antenna connects? At the 2:35 minute mark, you point to the top connection which is not an antenna connection. My antenna fits into the bottom one but I get no reception and it doesn't have a short wire in that hole.
How is the atoto unit performing over time. Would you still recommend it.
I have the same car. Like exactly same by the look.
Did you get the steering wheel controls working?
There are a couple of Fakra connectors,it would have been good to explain how to deal with those. Also, the FM antenna is not DIN press in fitting for the existing radio. Again, it would be useful to have some info.
Have you made your review video yet?
Thank you for sharing your experience. Does it work with any rear camera?
Thank you, yes it does, there are a lot of connectors for cameras.
hello, is there a special connection to make to have the lighting on the keys? when you turn on the headlights? because my keys do not light up, thank you
@@adeleon5951 I finally connected the lighting cable to the power supply cable.
Nice video. I'm doing some research on these head units and ATOTO seems to offer many features and quality. (I'm a 16 year owner of an MX-5 BTW, amazing cars!)
I'm wondering if you can add an SD card to this model.? I know the A7 models have a slot on the front fascia. Did you look at the A7 at all? (Linux based OS).
Thanks a bunch!
Thank you :) Sadly this version in particular cannot have an sd card, as it does not have an sd card slot in the front at all, you can use usb to expand memory if needed.
I did look at the A7 models and the linux based os, they are so much cheaper than the android versions, but for me personally it had to be android, as i only mostly use waze for my maps and spotify for music, those two apps are a must for me, and on the linux base version that's not yet possible from my research.
Will post the unit review video soon which should touch upon these things.
@@IreviewThings Thanks for the info! I look forward to your review.
Hi bro, so for steering wheel connection you don't need to purchase an special harness?
No, you just need to connect 3 wires, 2 for the actual controls plus one for power.
I have the same MX5 and bought the same radio, but to connect the steering wheel controls I cannot find the additional wires anywhere? Can you tell me where to buy the extra wires? Or at least the names of them? You say pin connectors however there appears to be a large variety of pin connectors of different sizes.
Did you ever find out this?
Hey, wondering how the mic quality is on this unit and how it is installed. Can you use any mic you wish?
How's the android auto? Does it quick charge the phone when plugged in to the USB? Is there wireless android auto? Great video btw I will probably do the same.
Thanks bro, yes it does quick charge your phone, but only one of the usbs will do so, they are labeled. It can do android auto wirelessly as long as you have android 11 and newer, as long as your phone is compatible it will work surprisingly well.

I got this radio and its very cool. Everything works except the sound. Can anyone think of a reason as to why? I already got an antenna adapter, and checked all the wires. I'm stumped
You car may have a stock amp that needs connected
@@hiddenpotentialproject806 do you have any suggestions for a part? I have a 2014 challenger
@@CrossChaos did you find your part? What was the issue and how did you fix it. Please share for others.
@@rkbest9783 No. I returned it and got a Kenwood
Does it have wireless android auto ?
Website says it doesnt
It does
