Your drink won't freeze and the glass won't thaw that fast. I seem to remember the phase change of water (freezing/melting) takes (or releases) about ten times as much energy than a 1 °C of temperature change and it'll take awhile. Even when holding the glass in your bare hand, you'll freeze your hand (figuratively) before you melt throught that thick ice.
I think he said that it's only -2C inside the ice hotel and you don't need that much clothes for that. Remember that we up here get -20C, -30C, -40C and even colder at times. I live about as far south of the Arctic Circle as they are north and we got -38C as coldest this winter. This far ... -2C is really nothing, just a nice day :p
@@3rdworldpeoplereact Its of cause no wind indoors and its incredibly dry. When its so dry it feels a bit warmer than it is. When you have 15C in Brazil, its probobly quite wet, and it will feel miserable. He does wear insulated pants, that is probobly sufficient to keep him at temperature
The creation of artwork starts in summer time. The work is done in a freezer hall where the artwork is stored until needed when the weather permits the rebuilding of the ice hotel. The artwork is often very intricate carvings and inlaying of wires for light effects.
I used to live 20 minutes from where the hotel is. Back then they built on the river so every spring when the ice broke in the river what was left of the hotel disapered down the river. I am more often cold now living in the southern part of Sweden. When you live in this kind of climate you have god cloth and know to get correctly dressed.
have you ever been to Antartica.....Ussaia Argentina....that place you would think cold is the bigest problen....NOOOO you would be wrong the biggest problem on Antartica is the toilette.......as a man try to pee....it freezes before it hits the ground...and dont let me start about the crap....

Thank you very much for the explanation, it makes perfect sense. Greetings from Brazil!

It's incredible to know these things, most of us here when it's 15 degrees don't even want to leave the house because of the cold 😮

"How did they install this door?!" That was my exact question also haha
Madness 😂
There are several artists who works on the sculptures and decoration.
I don't know if or how much they are paid but it's good advertisment for them
They are true artists, breathtaking work!
by what i know then the artists make all the decor works in only 2 weeks. pretty impressive.
How come? 🤯🤯🤯

The minimum price for 1 room per night is about 287€.
OMG, we had no idea, it's really expensive. But this hotel is so amazing, we are impressed so far 😍 Thanks for watching!
Yeah, I was going to say that - the hotell is expensive. Given all the work that goes into it each year, it's not surprising though.
Better buy beer for that and sleep on the train station in Kiruna,
Like a hero
Jukkasjärvi is about 200km north of the arctic circle, not 20km. But great reaction as always!
Thank you 🥰
yes. its rebuilt every year!
If u come here to north. Naked to sleeping bag. Clothes insulate heat so u freeze
We rebuild it every Year ❤
So much love and dedication 🥰☃️
@@3rdworldpeoplereact By "rebuild" they really mean that it is made unique every year, it's not just copy from before. It never looks the same.
summer it melts and in the vinter they rebuild

They call this the original Ice Hotel, but you can find these amenities all over Scandinavia, Finland, Sweden & Norway
God! How did we not know that? There are ice hotels in so many places! What a beautiful thing!
Hotel is in sweden Jukkasjärvi. In Finland is in Kiruna.
What are you talking about? Kiruna is in Sweden, Jukkasjärvi is next to Kiruna.
