Had this problem for months! I even thought the electronics on the buttons where damaged!! This fixed completely, thank you so much for taking the time to spread the trick!
PERFECT, THANK YOU!! Just bought my 2019 Macan S and had this issue as soon as it was delivered. I thought it was an electrical problem and that Porche would charge $329,432 to fix. After watching this, I ran out and followed what you did and IT WORKED!!! Thank You!!!
You are the people’s champ!! We have a 2014 and 2020 Cayenne. This method worked for both cars. The only reason I found this post was because I bought a used one on EBay for $50. I was going to change it out of my 2014. You saved me time and energy. Thank you!!
This works! I would like to add a reminder that the ignition key should be in accessory mode and make sure to do the extreme setting in ALL directions for all the adjustment directions. It is a lot but do not rush or skip any. Make sure to also keep it at extreme setting for additional 2 seconds before letting go at each setting. I rushed it and it did not work. Good luck!
Thanks a bunch for this video. I thought I had blown a fuse when my memory seats didn’t light up in my 991.1. I tried your instructions and now it’s working perfectly. Appreciate it 👍
Add me to the list: this video solved the problem on my '14 Boxster. I took it in for service the other day and noticed that the Comfort Entry settings were not working. I checked the manuals and watched 5 or 6 videos, but none of them offered this solution, You should visit dealership service centers and train their techs ...
The dealership was my next step but I found 1 thread on the net saying to try this. Had I known the video would be so helpful, I would have kept the author's info to give them credit.
Well this happened to me a couple weeks ago after my car got detailed. I was a bit frustrated thought maybe it would reset itself, but to no avail. So I thought what the heck I'll google the question and this video came up. After one try, it was back to working properly. Confirmed "that trick does work!!". Porsche Cayenne 2017
I was going to check my fuse box panel but it didn’t make sense to since my seats have power just not the memory buttons, now that I’ve came across this video, I will try your method 😅 Thank you sir!
Very helpful, I have an Audi A5 and this worked, it took me about 5 tries because I forget the power headrest. Think you need to reset all seats power function parameters before it will fully reset
This seems to have worked on my 2012 Touareg. The memory light comes on again but the seat didn't move when I pressed the setting. I will teat it later. I think it may have lost the saved settings. Maybe the full movement clears the memory along with the problem flag that stopped it from working.
This is the first youtube video I've been inclined to give a thumbs up. Ever. In 20 years of youtube existing. Thank you.
This is the first video I went to and it saved me the grief of taking in my car. Thank you very much.
