Thank you very much for helping me i was having challenges in vectors with such questions now am able to do better than before i rate you five golden stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Hi there. this is great and I can follow your explanations. One question, you have shown that OP is parallel to a + b, but what would a + b look like on the diagram above? This would be really helpful for visualising what's going on. Thanks
@@3minutemaths aww I’m just being honest, when I went back to school yesterday after being sick a while my teacher was so proud I managed to stay keeping up
If you put your exam questions on yellow paper (if that is possible) then it helps people concentrate easier and you might get more people to watch, just I know some people that prefer things on yellow paper as it is easier to read and concentrate on. :-)
+Nathan Hall - Good thought, thank you. I actually use light blue paper for tutoring as it can help some students who might be slightly dyslexic. All best S :-)
Hi - we don't know anything about vector AB ... so I have to go via AO and OB. Here's a playlist on working with vectors that might help: ua-cam.com/play/PLPglScc3TJ-MH_1pceEbEQj7EKq-Tcq9K.html. All best S :-)
Hi - Around 5.30 To subtract fractions you need to make sure the denominator is the same so 2a - 4/5a is the same as 10/5a - 4/5a = 6/5a Hope that's OK? Best S

I think this might be a bit late but could you explain what's meant by 'Constructions using vectors'(I have a really important test tomorrow and I think I might move down to doing the Lower GCSE if I don't get this!!! Great video by the way.
Hi there Simon. I have a Mock Exam on 9th December. If I give you some of the things I've been requested to revise - could you do some 3 minute maths for the things I'm unsure with? Thanks a lot. :-)

Hi - if you forget the a's it's 2 - 4/5 To takeaway fractions you need to have the same denominator (at the moment the 2 is really 2/1) So, 2/1 becomes 10/5 10/5 - 4/5 = 6/5. Hope that's Ok and all best S :-)

Would these questions be in a non calc or calc paper?
Hi - vectors would generally be non calc. Best S
is it ok to write AB = OB - OA???
ur such a great guy bud. Thank you 🙏 😭

In part a of the question, why did you decide to go in opposite direction?

I find your videos really helpful, could you cover cumulative frequency please?

Hi Simon, I'm a bit confused where you got the last part from... I thought it would be 2a-4/5a + 6/5b. How did you end up with 2 5/5b? Thank you

3:54 Could you go O to B and then B to P instead?
yes, but he chose the shorter way
It is a v. good explanation. but can u please help me, what if we try to take the path of OB, when we are finding the OP in part ii.
That's a very good tutorial on the vectors. I just can't believe we only get 4 marks for this one. The GCSE board should be more giving.
+stunninglad1 - Glad to help :-)

How did u get get 6/5b, did u times 3b by 2a?
That was really helpful, thanks❤️

hi
Hi Simon. On the website, is there a mark scheme for the GCSE practice questions?
+Mastercheif1345 - Hi - yes, I'm working through them and I'll update www.3minutemaths.co.uk/gcse-practice-papers/ links when done :-)
+Simon Deacon ok thanks!
thnx!!!! your tutorial helped me a lot....Now I find vectors so easy

can we write +2a -3b ??
Hi - yes, and it's much neater to put the +term at the beginning. Best S

What pen are you using?
I think it's a Parker ... had it for years :-)
What if its an equilateral triangle, would it just be 2a?
Hi ... not quite sure. Vectors are only the same if they are parallel - can you give me an example of the question? Best S :-)
Good work sir
Slaute to you sir, you made it nicely nicely simple.
exceptional explaination

can't you zoom in on your work
Lol, my handwriting again? :-)
since it was 2a minus 4/5a how was it 6/5 and not -2/5a
Hi - if you forget the a's it's 2 - 4/5
To takeaway fractions you need to have the same denominator (at the moment the 2 is really 2/1)
So, 2/1 becomes 10/5
10/5 - 4/5 = 6/5.
Hope that's Ok and all best S :-)
Simon Deacon thank you!
How can I fraction 2a_4/5
For me to have 6/5
