- Is The Kyosho FIRST Mini-Z Trueno AE86 The Perfect First RC Car?
In this video I am testing out another Kyosho RC car. This time it's the Initial D Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 First Mini-Z! This Kyosho first Rc car has RWD! I tested this Kyosho First Mini-Z in my garage. Then I tested it out in my house. The first mini z worked great on the hardwood floors! I then made a few Trueno AE86 ramps out of cardboard. I tested out the first mini z Kyosho on the ramps and it worked. It did not launch this Initial D RC car, but it still cleared the ramp! I recommend this Kyosho FIRST Mini-Z if you want a very true scale looking RC Car that you just want as a toy to mess around with! This Kyosho is definitely not Hobby Grade but very close!
Thanks for watching this video on the First Kyosho Mini-Z! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below!

I've been waiting for a video about this car!
That’s awesome! I actually just made another video of the Kyosho First Mini Z. This time It’s a full unboxing of the Subaru KEI truck. That video will come out next Thursday! Hope you enjoyed this one and thanks for watching! Do you have any First Mini Zs?
❤ Great video! The tiny size makes it extra fun!
Thank you ! The Kyosho mini z are the best tiny size rc cars for sure!
@@hobby-cantina Feel free to try this with a rechargable 14500 lithium ion cell in place of the two aa batteries, should give it some more speed & torque while making it lighter.
Was pretty popular to do with the Auldey race tin cars back about 10-ish years ago.
Ofc you need to complete the connection on the other side with a single 14500 cell but just use a wire soldered in place or maybe something like a wood pencil cut to size & some aluminium foil.
Maximum voltage the board takes is likely going to be 5 - 6v at best as well.
@ I think I might have one! That’s a good idea. I will have to look up the Auldey race tin cars too. I think I remember those. I had quite a few of those cars that are like the Zip Zaps. Not sure what they were called back in the day. I could have sworn they were something…. Z. Thanks for the expert tip! Thanks for watching too!
The Palm Runner is still alive with those "First Mini-Z" series 😊😊
Right? I have always wanted to order a retro palm runner but maybe this will do! Totally still alive! Same box too.
Thanks for watching!
Do you have one of The Palm Runners?
Nice!
Thanks! Thanks for watching too!

new sub
Awesome! Welcome to Hobby Cantina. Thanks for subscribing and watching! Let me know if you have any suggestions on what RC stuff you want to see tested out.
Can you do some upgrades on this car?
There are a few upgrades you can do that people talk about on forums and stuff like that. It’s more custom stuff though than your typical upgrade parts. Hope that makes sense!
Can u swap the body to a regular mini z?
Yes! You have to change the front clip mount on the ma020 Mini Z. I will try it out and see if it works too.
