I honestly feel like the devs were planning to have him as the antagonist during the early stages of the game's development. His personality, intelligence, and skills would make him a much more dangerous enemy than Van. If he knew how to use the seventh fonon, he could literally revive people through fomicry as perfect replicas without even using machines. With the planetary fonic arte, even Nebilim wouldn't be stronger than him, let alone Van.
Jade is truly one of the best video game characters of recent years and he's so under appreciated! How can you not love his character? More people should be singing his praises! Loved his dialogue in this.
Jade and Kratos(from tales of symphonia) would make an awesome team. If there was a game that had both of them in it, I would buy it the second it bcame out and play it nonstop until I beat it cause thats how awesome those two are. :D
@Lenks you cant completely blame the voice actors the voice actors are actualy some of americas best its the Frame rates that really dulled it i ahve to say i have the game and beat it several times already and i have to say it wasent the voice acting it was the frame rate

I find it very amusing that Luke runs in at the end to finish it when he didn't do any of the battling. Of course, it makes sense gamewise as well. The four that aren't involved in awakening/freeing Lorelei weaken Van, and then Luke and Tear, not tired from battling, finish the job.
I thought you meant that Jade would die in the end with 'ending'. Since I really 'love' him I was so freaking scared that I stopped playing.Then I watched this,prepared to cry,saw his awesomeness and played trough the game with double speed to see this,too :'D
yeah!!!! they should!! this is my 2nd favorite game of all time.. ffx being the first :) both of these games have very interesting world and story.. and how the story unfolds is amazing :) i definitely love these kind of video game :)
I think you also have Tear to be out of your fighting party too. I tried it myself (without luke) and it didn't work. I only got the part with Jade hitting Van's arm and the quip about not having killed him.
I usually love Kirk Thornton's Jade, but his voice sounded weird here. o_o ...Michael McConnohie's Van is superb, though. Didn't expect any less from a guy who's been voice-acting for over 30 years. XD
