Let me know if you ever got your question and answer Sherry. I have the same printer, and I keep having paper jam error messages and other issues. But I would also like to use it with the ink you asked about. Sublimation ink.
...that is when I can get it working again!

I have a printer brother j100 (I can't reach the print head ), Where are the sponge located? where is the normal position of printer head before printing - left or right? in other words, I would like to know if the print head is located on the sponge by default. Can anyone confirm if the J870DW will display the same question marks rather than replace cartridge upon empty?
My firmware is L and I have no way to rollback :S I am a little worried it will not work...
