I remember seeing this film as a 12 year old at the cinema! Didn't get why it was unsuccessful, a little before it's time I say.

Definitely agree with you I wasn't even born when this movie came out. I thinks it was unsuccessful mostly because parents didn't know if it was meant for kids or adults and also fox animation shut down before the movie came out

Too bad though as it's a basically well written, meaningful and dramatic film.

@@TheGroundedAviator couldn't agree more. It does have flaws though such as the transitions that looked rushed to me but overall if they ever make a live action pretty sure it'll be a classic
