Why Airforce was never used in the entire war?
It was the order fool Nehru
It was the order of the then Fool Nehru
because of lehru
It was used but only for transport. @prosenjeetdey3702 Airforce was not used in combat role because in retaliation the Chinese could use their Airforce to target Indian cities, only after the war it became clear that there were no Chinese airbases in Tibet (of significant value). However the IAF was stronger at that time than the PLAAF
THAT IS AN ANSWER THAT O LY AND O LY THE "STUPID BASTARD" JAWAHARLAL NEHRU COULD GIVE. THE BIGGEST TRAITOR THIS NATION HAD !!!!!
There are many relevant books over this debacle. Specially the book(The Himalayan Blunder) written by Brigadier Dalvi, who was captured by the Chinese along with the other Officers & soldiers during the war. Your presentation is graphically good effort but narrative is so little against this Himalayan Blunder that it surprises. Brief narration of some pre war conditions that why the war started! Why the World War II winning part of British Indian Army, then Indian Army, a very tough Army lost the war with China ! Why the Indian soldiers send to fight numerically 10-30 times large & heavily weaponized Chinese Army With .303 rifles with limited personally carriable ammunitions, with proper winter clothing & tents in minus temperature in so high mountain? I have seen what was happening in our country in those days & still alive with many
What was the role of Sri Nehru then PM & Krishna Menon then Defence minister( who resigned later due to this debacle), what was the role of Brig. Palit (then Director Of Military operations),role of Mullik, role of a General who served maximum in ASC( Army Service Corps) was put to N.E.F.A(today's Arunachal Pradesh) as C in C overtaking many able generals but who had to be evacuated over humans back after the first shell burst of the war there. Soldiers were fighting at border like tigers but nearest road head were 7-10 days jungle & mountain trekking away. They were starving in that minus temperature due to nearly no back up supply. Many died laying in the open in that snow & ice condition without tent. I don't know when or ever the Henderson Brooks enquiry report over the debacle of 1962 war will be made public. A very big sin had happened in those days.
Thank you for sharing this. I'll check out this book to do a detailed account on the war
Nehru and menon should have been jailed for life for neglecting indias defences from 1947 onwards ,appeasing china by providing them rice and other essentials in tibet and thus allowing china to strengthen its strangehold over peaceful tibet
@@pushpenderrana6190 In my view ,people of India specially the youth must know exactly what the series of events happened in those days even before 1947.
Really proud of you for making such videos for us very very grateful to you sir
Thank you. This feedback gives me motivation to continue my work. I feel like this is valuable
@@IndianMilitaryHistory ofcourse it is.
Knowing the sacrifices our people made and how brave our soilder are really fills with a pride .
Thank you once again
@@flyhigh62 thank you!
Please include heroic act of bravery by Rifleman Jaswant singh Rawat 4 Garhwal Rifles. He himself fought against 300+ chinese troops. His company fought valiantly against a brigade of China at Nuranag sector. Jai Hind
Will do! Thank you for your note on this.
Jai Hind
Very educative
Thank You
Basic issue is not mentioned.
Today in all govt services, postings are done based upon lobbying. This results in inefficient officers occupying important positions.
The same thing was going on in the Army.
Inefficient Generals were holding important positions who knew nothing about mountain warfare.
Two of them were not even infantry officers but were ASC officers. But they were holding key positions as they had political connections who lobbied for them.
However it was blessing in disguise. Govt realized that this culture of lobbying is not advisable if the country has to have a professional army.
Today Indian Army is one of the most professioally efficient armies in the world
Well said. This is very true, there was a lot of political interference within the army at the time ... This was changed post the war which paved the way for great leaders like Manekshaw.
Very nice presentation sir………still waiting for Kargil war series.
Thank you. Kargil is going to be there in the upcoming videos
thanks
It's a shame for failure. 😮
Despite all the bravery from the soldiers in the ground
You are incorrect. Lieutenant General BM Kaul was never appointed as the Chief of Army Staff. Instead, he was appointed as the Corps Commander of the 3 Corps in the Indian Army. His tenure in this role is notably linked with his involvement in the 1962 India-China War. Kaul was a controversial figure due to his rapid rise in the Army and his close connections with then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. His appointment and decisions during the war have been subjects of extensive debate and analysis regarding their impact on the outcome of the conflict.
It is never possible to know real casualties of PLA. They always maintain propaganda. Even to this date.
They are a closed system.
The chinese had already occupied most of aksai chin by 1951 & had already built the G219 highway passing through it. So if possible, please try including it
That's right .. thank you !
Very nice. But I guess this has already been covered by you. Am I right?
That's right. I have been consolidating some of the videos with part 1,2 etc
@@IndianMilitaryHistory thank you sir. Amazing effort
An exercise in shifting the blame on the shoulders of the politicians. The facts are that the leadership at all levels of the Military, Commanding Officers upwards, was clueless about terrain and its implications, besides lacking a spine. The political leadership lacked intellectual humility, ignoring the advise of the very few same military commanders that served back then.
If we donot study & critique actions, omissions & commissions of such losses ruthlessly, we will not carry the right lessons.
What was the PM doing all these years?
There were 100s of problems we as a country were facing at the time. The 1962 although was a major debacle.
One good thing it did was it forced course correction on the political side - no further political interference was tolerated in the armed forces post this
Great Chacha ji kept sloganing 'Hindi Chini Bhai, Bhai!' while Mao Tse was telling "political power grows out of the barrel of the gun!" to the World. This was ignored by our so-called Pandit ji. Fact is he hated armed forces, and told FM Auchinleck that ' police with lathis are good enough to protect our borders '🙉🤐
I remember seeing the Chinese air Base data. There problem was poor maintenance of MiGs. Hardly half their strength was serviceable on a given day.
Yes. India never anticipated thta and the top management in India was never prepared. Wrong decisions by Nehru./
That's right. There were failures at many levels .. the top brass mismanaged the situation.. the soldier on the ground suffered the most due to it ..
All the blame goes to Nehru and V P Menon.. even till today his blood line is doing such debacles but thanks to Bhagwan we now have a solid potent PM..
*VK Krishna Menon ..
That line of treacherous scallywags is still present in the indian political system, albeit not in power for last ten years.
