um....over a year ago now. i saw them live in October '08, and Ethan was the drummer then. HE FLIPPIN LEFT DEMON HUNTER! as did their other guitar player. but that's a discussion for a different video =)
You notice that he doesn't play any chords when strumming with his fingers. He brought in John Schneck to do that so he could focus more on his vocal and piano playing skills. Still, finger strumming is anything but easy.

even though he is sick he still sings better than tom delonge and plays guitar better than tom as well. it's nice to see that guitar in some worthy hands for once.
k first off nobody ACTUALLY knows what influenced matt i mean seriously do you talk to him,know him personally..prolly not. relient k is good they make sweet songs..so is blink they are good too they are both freakin amazing i like both. people need to stop being ridiculous yall are ruining the fact that relient k is making good music. boom done deal right there :)
@Rawk4Life He does play chords on the verses and on the choruses.. He play the intro riff, and that's the only place in the song where he doesn't play chords.
define "better" Even though I like blink while it lasted, Relient K is "better" for me because on all of RK's albums every song is enjoyable and catchy. Blink kinda lost it with the last album.
blink isn't that funny. they just cursed and were really offensive, yet they could write some cool stuff. relient k has more tasteful humor, and back then, blink 182 was an influential band for every uprising punk band.

I'm sorry but Matt has been playing a lot longer Tom and can play 10 instruments. He beats Tom in every way, Tom just undeservingly hit super stardom.
