ahhhh it's so cool to see someone on the same level as most of us! seeing your struggles raw makes me feel not so alone! super cool seeing your progress as well. PS wow wish we all had a Tom behind us being that supportive though!! what a don
Great to see how much you've improved and love to see your joy at your achievments. Keep it up Kara, you're a great inspiration to women and girls that want to MTB.☺
Kara, it was really good to see your progression, and I’d love to see more videos like that. I got into MTB trail riding on a hardtail during the first lockdown, and have just bought a full SUS with a view to riding more technical stuff. I may have to pay a visit to Hadleigh.
Great to see the progress Kara! I hope that other people like me are showing this to their girlfriends and inspiring them to at least try MTBing. We all start out somewhere, sometimes it’s hard to see that it will end up going as far as it has for you!
Hell of a difference! You've also really stepped up your riding a lot recently I've noticed. It was around when you got that last red bike, it's like you got that and then went nuts on it! Lol
Great video Kara it’s so incredible the improvement you have made in 4 years you would not think that was the same person. I think it’s called chick sands bike park is that the one with the wail tail and the drops etc in it . That would be a really good one to do because you both do a lot of riding in there and you have done a lot of learning in there is well.
Well done Kara! It's been incredible following you on your journey! I've been riding only for about 4 years too. But you're way more advanced than I am now. Especially on jumps. Mind you, I can't ride in the winter, so I only get a few months in the summer time here in Calgary to ride.
Hi! It’s nice to see that you keep going training! That’s great! But I’ve noticed the thing that you're tucking your legs up to the bike. My friend does the same and it’s not a good thing, often dangerous, cause you should have your legs wide a bit to be able to go through sharp turns and etc.
your dedication perseverance and hard work has lead you to great accomplishments...you are an inspiration to those who are entering the mountain biking world..keep it up you have really come a long way...keep pushing your limits to the safest max and don't be afraid of a little fear....cheers 🇨🇦
Funnily I was only thinking during your last video do you ever look back how you were when you started. Watching your progress has been great. Just wish this old man could jump like you can. Keep up the progression.
I remember your early days of mountain biking. You have certainly come a long way since then. You have been a great inspiration to many new mountain bikers. You inspired me to ride mountain bikes in my 70s and it has made a huge difference in my health and well-being. You also inspired me to purchase a Haibike Almnt 2.0. I love Haibike bikes but unfortunately, Haibike no longer sells their bikes in the United States. Is there any way you can influence Haibike into returning to the USA?
I have noticed over many years and looking at other riders that getting a good bike and correct clothing greatly increases the enjoyment of cycling. Now try the bottom half of the mega avalanche trial, you can easily do it.
Kara. Fantastic to see you. You look good! Craig the only likes honey from bee's who collect pollen from a certain tree guy here;) Wish I can tell you which tree. But I don't, my having something important to do. Almost as important as you Kara.
Great progress! A tip for wheeling - START ALMOST STANDING, so you can put in a TON of force. You dont want a full sprinting stance, but you seem to struggle with getting your body weight shifted back and getting the power to the pedals to bring the front up. For a guy it can be difficult to quickly transition from the standing to sitting cause you risk popping a grape, but for a proper female I imagine it shouldnt be a problem. This will help you really get into the wheelie. good luck!
That was a fun comparison. Don't worry too much about the wheelies, I still struggle with them. I am glad I can do enough of one to get over simple obstacles. The thing about going down that black rock chute is that you're going to go down it and get to the bottom with or without your bike, glad you made it on your bike though, it's less hurty. Nice one Kara.
What u needed Fox Factory and Generally a too nice bike at the beginning if u couldnt Even Lift the Front Wheel, Most people start with an entry Level bike which Helps a lot because you Truly learn how to Ride and know your skills and Not get fooled by good Equipment that make Trails offen too easy, Great that u startet and Took us on that Journey but Not everyone has such a Budget, especially at the beginning

Epic progress! Well done. I'm 3 years in and getting better too.
Oh yeah I remember the knee pads over jeans. A classic look 😅

I may not have been watching 4 years ago. I certainly have been watching your great progress Kara. No shame when your not ready. Just be safe👍

I totally remember those videos. I can't believe it's been 4 years already. Dang.

It's such a shame Hadleigh is in such disrepair 😢 that is so inspiring 😊
Will you get a Lyke Ebike like Chris Smith will you be with Tom at The Cycle Show on 22nd April in London

Never been impressed with Hadleigh BP? the surface has loose gravel, shame it has potential but well done Kara.
Good stuff👍🏼

If you practiced for 5 years you would definitely be able to wheelie 💯
