Just wondering..it's possible to swim in the sea? I see high waves..I always go to Caletta de Fuste .This year I decided for Corralejo and this hotel.Honestly I am a bit scared.I travel alone,don't like swimming pools but only sea waters.
Hi. The waves are somewhat bigger than at Caletta but there is a fairly shallow gradient from the beach. It's perhaps more suitable for a bracing dip in the waves rather than a peaceful swim.
Great vlog guys. Was there myself last week joyed every minute of it, what a location with the sand dunes beach and clear sea water. Staff so friendly always kept clean. Hoping the hotel stays as is as there are fears of closure all the time hence in need of cosmetic freshness here and there .. Town didnt disappoint neither great vibe taking in live music at Sunset Lounge Rock Island Bar and of course the music square too. happy to subscribe keep sharing your travel experiences

We have booked to go for my partners 50th Birthday in January 2025! Looks amazing, 2 teenagers and 2 adults, looks like we'll be in the Annexe, but just after a bit of winter sun for a change. :)

I stayed myself just recently at the ROB, village, 2237 ... As fr 27th Nov. - 15th Dec. ... Hotel seemed to hv been booked appr. 60 - 70 (difficult to guess how much in real) ... BUT, Restaurants, Bars (evening) etc., were packed and crowed with people/guests, especially at Breakfast time (7:30 - 10:30 hr), not as much for lunch, but than again at dinner (18:30 - 21:30 hr) ... Shows and Bars crowded as well, after dinner-time ... NOW ... Yr vid gives the impression, as if there wld hv been just 10 or 15 hotel-guests around 😲 --- But unfortunately this was NOT the case !! ... Instead, the areas mentiond before were packed with people !! ... Was neither fun anymore to get/collect the food at the buffet, nor to find quiet and/or relaxed places at the MAIN-Restaurant, cause it was quite crowded and packed with people ... very often (especially Breakfast !!), but not always, upto appr. 80 - 90 % (same at the main-pool) !! 👍😲 ... So I wonder, at which precise daytimes you made yr shots/takes at the restaurants, respectively main-pool ... ?? Similar re yr recording at the pools (main + village) ... Here again, impressions give in yr vid seemed as if there wld hv been just a small bunch of prople around ... but it was not the case... At least main-pool and surroundings were packed 👍😉
Hi there 😊 Turns out we were there at the same time as you! We stayed at this hotel from the 6th December - 13th December. To ensure we captured good footage of the food, we filmed the buffet as soon as the restaurant doors opened before it got too crowded. As for the main pool area, we did our filming in the morning at breakfast time whilst everyone was still in the restaurant, therefore there were less people around at that time. The Annexe pool area was filmed around midday. Hope that answers your questions, thank you for commenting! 😊

Thought the main building is closed and only the annex is still open. At least that is what tui sell in germany. Did you stay in the annex or main building ?
It was open whilst we were there, though we heard there's plans to refurb in March, but we're not 100% how true this is. We stayed in the Annexe 😊 thanks for watching!
Not that I'm aware of. You would likely get one from the nearby town Corralejo, but there are also TUI reps in the hotel most of the day, who would have more information for you. 💚
Is there a good variety with the food? I’ve seen some reviews saying it’s repetitive and they don’t serve things like bacon at breakfast (that’s a pretty standard breakfast food to me at a hotel) or much meat at dinner

This hotel has had problems with the norovirus. I stayed there last year and got a bad dose while being as careful as I could. Some guests are lucky, many are not as the reviews tell. Apart from that it was a nice location and hard working pleasant staff. I would be afraid to chance staying there again.
Hi there, during our stay we didn't notice anyone sick or poorly. I imagine the virus that year must have completed its cycle. Viruses often spread in hotels where there is a lot of close contact, but they rarely hang around that long, so I wouldn't worry. Thanks for watching! 💚

Hi there, Olivia Beach Resort is the name of the whole hotel including the main part and the annexe (which are older apartments) as you can see in the video. Turns out we were there at the same time as you! We stayed at this hotel from the 6th December - 13th December.
To ensure we captured good footage of the food, we filmed the buffet as soon as the restaurant doors opened before it got too crowded.
As for the main pool area, we did our filming in the morning at breakfast time whilst everyone was still in the restaurant, therefore there were less people around at that time. The Annexe pool area was filmed around midday.

Staying here next month. How long would you say it is to walk into Corralejo or how much is it roughly for a taxi?
It was around a 50 minute - 1hr walk to Corralejo, and we payed 10 euros in a taxi from Corralejo back to the hotel. Thanks for watching! 😊
