you forgot to mention that without the adhesive, the snap will remain stuck on the magsafe charger/adaptor every time you lift your phone off of it. The magnet is too strong and sticks to magsafe stronger than sticking to your phone. So you have to use the adhesive if you are planning to use magsafe with this.

This happed to me today as well. It got a bit warm. This seemed to make the adhesive soft. So when trying to remove from the MagSafe. It started to come off the phone case. 😑
So if i wanted to use a case i would have to put the adhesive on the case?😢
thats my question. I wont use adhesive. i have to take off all the time to put into tripods, etc.
also, if i don't use adhesive and stick to metal surface, will it stay?@@KRUSTYskates
This thing is really useful for magnetizing my phone to the metal walls of the bathroom stall at work when watching UA-cam videos while pooping on the clock.

Great video! I have had mine for about 2 weeks and love using it in the gym for the magnet to check on my form without propping it up and the grip when my hands get sweaty. The scissor mechanism doesn't feel as sturdy when I first got it, and that's the only thing that worries me.

I had the previous version and it lasted over a year without any issues, it is much stronger and durable than it looks@@Artismia
@@Artismiait won’t. I’m on my second OhSnap 3. First one had a leg break. Second one had adhesive come off of half of the part that sticks to the disk and the actual disk is broken in half. Amazing product, extremely short lifespan.

Is there other grips like it? I enjoyed attaching it to gym equipment instead of laying my phone on the floor
Does not charge on my Samsung desk top mag charger and after 20 min in the Tesla console charge spot it was uncomfortable to hold it was so hot. (all through a spigen clear case) iPhone 13.
Have you tested this with vehicle wireless charging trays? MagSafe pass-through is great but I'm wondering if it pushes the phone away from charging trays enough to keep the phone from charging.
I got the Ohsnap 3 Pro a few months back after using the 2 for years and then the 4 Luxe was announced just a couple days later. I love the improvements they made, but bumping the price up even more was a bit much. $30 for the 3 Pro already made it one of the most expensive grips you could buy. Meanwhile the 4 Luxe ends up coming out to nearly $50 after tax and shipping. Kind of wild that they still charge $5.95 shipping for something that already seems overpriced and can fit in an envelope.
I agree! It is over priced. And the shipping is ridiculous. But they have to pay for all the advertising and marketing some how, right? 😁

How does it compare to the pop socket being used on a naked phone (no case)? I have pop socket right now but find it kind of big
I have used pop sockets for many years, and have always found them to be uncomfortable to hold and thick. This Snap grip is actually (once you get used to it) VERY comfortable to hold. It is HALF the thickness of the pop socket making it much slimmer in the pocket.
Did you let it charge for more than a moment? I've tried about five cases and while it will charge, the charge percentage never actually increases, but it does go into a charge state.
Yes. I’ve been using that otter case and that belkin stand every time I charge the phone and I haven’t had any issues. Fully charges each time.
I was concerned about the scissor mechanism but it holds up well so far.
Yes. I have been using it over a week now. And I gotta say it is nicer than I thought. It’s actually quite comfortable to hold. It has taken some time to get used to. But I like it!

ive has the ohsnap since the 2 and they've gone up and down. i like this new one but i miss the band they used to have.
ps: apparently they tested the hinges for over a million "pulls" and it can support like 5 pounds or something

Can’t confirm. Says that it is. But I do not own one to test.

So far, I have used it everyday, without any issues. It turns out it is quite strong. Feels weak but holds well. Thanks for asking. Looks like it is time to do a little update video addressing that question. 👍

How do you spin it in your hand??
The grip is designed to spin. So when you hold the grip in between your fingers, it will rotate freely. As shown in the video.
Mine get very hot, when charging via magsafe!

Yes, It is removable, and reusable. The “sticker” is washable and when dry it is sticky again. They also sell additional double sided replacement “stickers.”

It is very sticky! And difficult to remove. Strong fingers. Or pry it with something.
