@@lockeduplocksmith I would say probably make a template to draw either the square or the circle that you want to cut maybe use a drill carefully to cut the hole and then a small file to finish the edges
Yes that was very tricky I tried marking it and put it back in the same place but that didn't work I actually had to ride my bike with my GPS at 30 mph with the speedometer cover off and then add exactly 30 miles an hour push the needle straight down on the 30 mile an hour mark and then it was fine.
Hi, I've bought same indicator that you have here both from AliExpress (15€) and Amazon (43€, but with holder for handlebars). I've got same thing both times, excluding the holder/bracket. My problem is, I set it up, it turns on, does from 0 to 6, than back to 0 like in this video. When I put it in first gear, it shows it's in fifth gear. In manual that I've got it says turn ignition on and off five times, I've did that. Did not go in "L" - learning mode so I can set correct gear. I've tried what people on Honda forums do, where they turn ignition on than they go killswitch off-on five times, than countdown should flip and go from 6 to 0. But, my killswitch just kills the fuel pump, this gear indicator doesn't go off so that's no dice. I'm going crazy with this thing. Do you have any experience with it?
I'm sorry I really don't other than the experience of just installing it. It went pretty seamlessly for me. Have you tried contacting the seller maybe they have some more information.
@@DJsWorkshop thank you for answer. I did contact both sellers, and both devices behave the same. So I have to find other way to dump device memory somehow. My idea for now is to try dumping memory over someone else motorcycle than programming it on mine. In theory it should work, but I need to see.
I got mine on a 2023 Vulcan 900, works fine but there is about 3 to 4 second delay on the display when changing gears is this normal with ur bike also please advise thank you, Ron Columbus, Ohio
If you are referring to removing the wires from the connector you will need a special tool but you can do it with a very small thin screwdriver. You have to release the tab that holds the pin into the connector.
man I was excited, especially with a laser engraver AND you saying you were going to make a small hole - NO you made the Crater from hell and cut to much off - your mistake I will learn from and make 1/2 the size hole!
Thank you. You made a very informative video, best that I've seen so far.
Glad you enjoyed it!
How would you recommend cutting the face for those without a laser cutter?

So quick question on reassembly if the Speedo. How do you get the Speedo needle to read correctly after you put it back together. Mines miscalibrated.

Maybe a second no more than that
How did you get the padding or whatever it is out the connector? That is what I am having trouble with.
Could you be a little more specific? Not sure what you are referring to.

I just got it out with some tweezers, thanks for the video.
Do you have any advice if it’s reading F? When I first turned the bike on it works fine, then it stayed on F.
Sorry I have no idea. Try contacting the seller
What the name of the connector you use? Dont find right
It came with the kit.
Hows the indicator holding up?
It has been holding up great no issues.
Тоже подключал у себя такой датчик. Не прнял для чего єтот Желтій провод??? Есть місли???
