Thanks for this video, i have been on 2 wheels, my whole life. I am considering one of these for longer trips. I am a small lady, and touring bikes are just too big for me. You live in a lovely area.
Thank you. They are really so much more comfortable for longer trips and have tons of storage. Way better in colder weather too.
When is said "composite shoes" it gave me an idea. Being I have some 1" composite decking scraps, I might as well cut some shoes out of that and bolt them to my blower. Easy make and should last just as long as those do!
Very good post, i have to repair mine.
How would you recommend cutting the face for those without a laser cutter?
@@lockeduplocksmith I would say probably make a template to draw either the square or the circle that you want to cut maybe use a drill carefully to cut the hole and then a small file to finish the edges
You didn’t insert the metal piece along with the poly shoes? Are you going to grease up the wheels so it will not freeze and rust ? A preventative measure.
@@xrpxtrariceplease2811 just the poly shoes and the metal plates it came with.
How about fixing the problem
Fixing the problem entails changing your oil. It's a maintaince light not a check engine light.
@ Oh okay got it!
Wher did find them to buy?
@@jadens9181 I found them on Amazon but don't think they are available anymore. They came from Germany. OEM.
Thanks for posting this. I just purchase a 2003 for my wife (she really wanted it) and the symptoms are exactly what you describe right down to the foam coming out of the vents. I am so glad that I may be able to fix this without spending a weekend disassembling and reassembling the dashboard.
@@jonw1708 Yes I also had no desire to spend my whole weekend tearing the dashboard out of my van.
That left side top scoop is backward. Rain will blow right in. Turn it around, the one on the other side will still draw air through.
This was the way that it showed to install it. There is a ring inside so that if water gets in it will deflect and drain down and out
@@DJsWorkshop My vents did not have a that baffle. Sorry.
Where did you get the hand guards?
@@mikeforand5983 I got them from Twisted Throttle. They are called Bark Busters Storm.
Well that’s simply not true. I am a certified MINI Sales Advisor and I can assure you that the “L” on the gear shift is just a Low gear mode. It only increases engine power while decreasing the overall speed of the vehicle. Yes it will increase the engine torque but it causes less fuel to enter the engine and lowering your overall motor power. Unless you’re driving the 2025 MINI Countryman JCW, you really have zero reason to be driving in “L” mode. So that is not an additional sport feature in the 2025 MINI Countryman so please do not give out false information. Last, if you go into the experiences tab and enter go-kart mode, there is a gear symbol on the right hand side of the screen when you are selecting the Go-kart mode. You can change the driving mode from Sport to Sport Plus… That is what you should be covering if you’re going to be talking about additional driving features.
@@MJGviii I have been a Mini Service advisor for 14 years. This vehicle is still new and we are still learning about all the little quirky features. I will be going to a seminar in Georgia next month where Mini will be sharing more information with us so I will find out exactly what it does. I do know that it changes the way the transmission shifts for sure though. Thank you for your input .
Your interior looks great! Any idea where you purchased the small wooden table?
@@ryancaso I made it from an under chair tray table.
Great video. Does rain get between the van roof and awning?
@@barryevans99 I have only been out once in the rain but I did not have that issue. They do sell a rubber strip though that you can seal the gap with though if you have that issue.
Really like this video, just bought 2023 900 classic lt and everyone asked if it is a Harley
@@hugogordillo9250 ya I get that a lot too. Looks like a Fat Boy
I do not black vehicles, ANY black vehicle. I do not like black wheels on ANY vehicle and I especially don't like black vehicles with black wheels ( blacked out) Sir this is THE MOST beautiful blacked out vehicle I have ever seen in my 70 sumthin sumthin years of life! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! 😊👍🏿❤
I'm not a big fan of black either as I'm the one who always has to keep it clean lol but yes it is gorgeous!
Thank you for the information. Is this function for permanent or does it need to repeat everytime?
The older minis would retain the setting but the newer minis have to be reset every time.
@@DJsWorkshop Okay, thank you so much.🙏🏼
Great DIY! It looks 100% better after respray.
Thanks! It took a lot of time but it was worth it!
Hey great videos! How hard was it to remove the panels. Any tips? I have a 2000 Eurovan with yellow interior I need to address.
@@ryancaso wasnt that bad to do. Just bunch of screws to remove. I painted the one behind the sink without taking it out as that would have been a lot of work . Remove the rear seat and just be careful not to twist the panels when removing them so they don't crack. You will be so much happier when it's done!
It would seem to me that if you're going to show how to install something, and you START by using a special-order mounting bracket, that you would also tell us what the hell you ARE using, where you got it, and maybe even a fucking part number! Sheesh!!!
Confirmed what I suspected. Replacing the 4H indicator switch is not easy. It took all day at my dealer (eventually they gave me a loaner) for them to diagnose my problem.
saw that spark plug drop. You shouldnt let it drop because the spacing can get compressed. Use a magnetic stick or socket. Also, do you know the recommended torque for the spark plugs?
The torque spec is 14 ft lb
The manual was useless. Thank you.
I know, those manuals can be difficult to decipher.
Great video! Thank you. Do you have the link to the original article you mentioned?
Sorry I do not. It was an article in one of the forums.
@@DJsWorkshop no worries! Thank you for the video
man I was excited, especially with a laser engraver AND you saying you were going to make a small hole - NO you made the Crater from hell and cut to much off - your mistake I will learn from and make 1/2 the size hole!
Most links don’t work now, the eBay ones for plug and shutoff
THaNKSSSSSS
Thanks for this video! I'm looking to replace the whole rear handle itself as it's completely rusted out on my 07. Was nice to see a disassembly video! Also, any recommendations as to where I might acquire a new back door handle? I'm in Ontario Canada!
Glad to help ! Other than the dealer, you can look for a used one but I would try to find one from the south west US area where they don't have rust issues.
Did it last? Do you like the water Flo etc?
This was a while ago. I have since sold the camper but it was still working when I sold it.
@@DJsWorkshop ok thank you.
Don't use a. Pry bar to force the Pistons back in use an old brake pad with a c-clamp to force the Piston back in You may need to alternate from one side to the other never mind. Don't use this video to install your front brake pads
I usually break my windows and replace them rather than going through the hassle of using harsh chemicals like Windex. You pay more up front but in the end, new is always better.
I found the same amount of shaving in my front gearcase after doing the 25 hour service on my 2025 XP 1000. I thought it was quite a bit for a break in period. I’ll proviso another fluid change relatively soon maybe another 25-50 hours.
I've read those tend to break the rear tail light, so be aware of that. Not sure if there's any mitigation strategies though
I did not have any issue with that.
Excellent Job Son! 🤟
thank you!

You're welcome!
WOW... that is an awesome tip!!! Thank you so much!!! 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Those plastic bowls warp when removed, you should have bought the aluminum carb bowl for replacement. OMC only used plastic bowls on G4’s for 4 years and went back to aluminum in like 1993 or 1994.
Very helpful for me. I will go ahead and do this myself after having seen your video!

Can you show me how the blower mounts to the front of the tractor
@@fredcook1845 I don't currently have it on the tractor but I believe it attached to the attachamatic mount on the front and there is a big bar that goes under the tractor that mounts to the pull lever.
Do you leave it run all night?
@@golchf1 it has a thermostat so you can set what temperature you want it to kick on. Then when it cools down at night it will shut off
@DJsWorkshop thanks for the reply. It's pretty hot where we are, and the fan would probably run all night. So I was wondering if it can handle running for long hours?
@@golchf1 it should be fine it's been hot hear lately and it runs pretty much continually also
@@golchf1 I have one of these gable fans on my coop that is also attached to a thermostat. It runs from multiple hours at a time out here in Utah. As soon as it hits 82° in the coop, the thermostat kicks on and it runs for about 12 hours without issue!
