Did you use reverb in Bohemian Cello on this? Btw I bought it today. Sounds great. Glad I got it.

Glad you enjoy it! Yes, I did use reverb, but an external one, not the instrument's own, although that too is a pretty good reverb.

This is absolutely beautiful. Fits the sound within me. I am a songwriter also. I am touched and as you know that is what we want to do when we write express but also connect hopefully with it. Also, some of these VST instruments especially the cellos I read there can be a lag when playing the note and you have to learn how to play the plugin with the slower attack.
Has rebow which you said wasn't as good as the violin on the last version if it was improved. Lastly I love on a cello that raw sound hearing the bow on the string. Some of these VST's do better than others. Can Bohemian get that forward low sound and ability to remove the reverb to dry it up. This tone is something I am chasing ua-cam.com/video/E3xYcNUWC2M/v-deo.html Thank you

Wow, thanks for your kind comment. Yes, for us composers it should be all about conveying emotions, right?
Now, about your questions, I am glad you reached out. So much to address, but I will try to keep it brief. Indeed, with good legato instruments, delay can always be a problem. With Virharmonic instruments you will notice a slight delay when playing some musical phrases, but personally this has never made it impossible for me to play anything in real time. In fact, all pieces on my channel using Bohemian cello/violin were played in real time with some adjustments made afterwards in the DAW. There are indeed pieces out there using the bohemian cello where you can hear considerable lag. One of these is actually a demo Virharmonic have on their own website, which is surprising tbh. But, as you can hear here, all lag can be adjusted and the instrument can be made to follow the tempo perfectly. Also, it must be mentioned that there is a feature in these instruments to reduce the lag in exchange for less expressive legato. So, in theory, you could set it to have virtually no lag when playing a part in, and then restore the original legato transitions afterwards and reposition the notes in the piano roll. Having said that, I never felt the need to do that myself (and never did). Quite the opposite, with these instruments I play runs etc. in real time and find they keep up just fine.
The latest cello version (I see you watched my old review) is much improved. Besides all the new articulations and features, the bow change is now far, far superior and I think now on par with the violin. I was never sure whether, in the previous version, they just skipped it and not recorded full bow changes, though it looked/sounded like that, but this is no longer the case. Rebow is responsive and every attack is fully present.
In terms of tone, these instruments were recorded almost bone dry, I think, so you can remove all reverb if you want to. I totally get what you mean, in terms of sound. I too love a fat, in your face cello sound, and this is why I like Bohemian cello. I would invite you to check these tracks out to see if this is the sound you are referring to:

I have also been wanting to review the latest cello/violin update and, now that I have my equipment with me, I think I will soon. So, feel free to watch that too if it helps!

Thanks for that review that makes me hopeful. Love the piece you just send with lows. You’ve convinced me. Good detailed info here I’m sure others will find useful.
Yes, this piece reminds of a Dublin. Was there 2017 18 months looking after mother dying. Moved from LA. I wrote more songs in that time period than ever in my life. This song is life a soundtrack to it. Interesting change around 2:40. You bring it up into a hopeful area. Good stuff.
