I was a feminist when I was young, and I was fighting for equal pay for equal work and equality of opportunity - and the so-called feminists of today don't know how bad it was back then i.e. a woman, no matter what her status, could not get credit without a male guarantor who simply had to be employed; in national exams, girls' papers were marked down so that more boys passed and it was extremely difficult for a girl to get into medical school and almost impossible for her to get into veterinary school. I grew up being told what I couldn't do just because I was a girl, and it really annoyed me and I remember seeing jobs advertised in the local paper with two salaries, one for a man, and one, a third lower, for a woman.

I was a feminist when I was young, and I was fighting for equal pay for equal work and equality of opportunity - and the so-called feminists of today don't know how bad it was back then i.e. a woman, no matter what her status, could not get credit without a male guarantor who simply had to be employed; in national exams, girls' papers were marked down so that more boys passed and it was extremely difficult for a girl to get into medical school and almost impossible for her to get into veterinary school. I grew up being told what I couldn't do just because I was a girl, and it really annoyed me and I remember seeing jobs advertised in the local paper with two salaries, one for a man, and one, a third lower, for a woman.
I have not seen a male vet or doctor in years, so I suspect those stats are not true
But I wouldn't be surprised if you looked for a husband who earned more than you and would support you if you wanted children. See how that works?
