      Thank you!!! Still prefer those big redfish, but this is fun, peaceful and close to home.
      Hope y’all are doing well and enjoying some days on the water also! Sorry to have missed the boat blessing weekend.

      Thanks a lot my friends!!
      Glad to be back after these bluegill but also still itching for those big redfish. Good to have both options.
      Love the new houseboat (even though I also loved your other one). Just very cool out there in the swamp. Great videos as always. Hope y’all keep enjoying and congrats on the awesome progress with the channel.
      Cheers!

      @@ThePentUpAngler I assume you went out orf Kerns? east then north?

    • @ThePentUpAngler
      @ThePentUpAngler  5 місяців тому

      @@toddyguidry3415 Yes. Exactly. I turn north into the woods about 1/2 mile from launch.
      I went again Monday and caught over 60 + 7 big sacalait using mostly a beetle spin (video maybe out tomorrow).
      Went back today with a buddy in his boat and only caught 15. Crazy how the bite changes.
      But overall it’s good, and seems best closer to the Boulevard rather than deep into the woods.
      Good luck!

      Me too!! Wasn’t the best bite, but plenty good for first of May.
      Hoping it really gets good after all this rain stops.
      Hope you get out there!!

    No more Kayaking? And what's the water level now

    • @ThePentUpAngler
      @ThePentUpAngler  5 місяців тому +2

      Lake Pelba gauge was 13.9’ this day and slightly rising due to previous rain. The water in the woods was a bit dirty and ranged from 3’ to 5’.
      Hoping we can get that Pelba gauge to drop just a little. Should be good ahead.
      Unfortunately been having some bad hip issues so had to give the kayak a rest. Hate it. Gonna try again soon. I catch more fish from the kayak EVERY time.
      Cheers and good luck to you ahead as well.
