The anxiety I felt in the 3 seconds I waited to see if this would be a pro- or anti-fluoride in toothpaste moment. THANK YOU for being pro-fluoride and pro-enamel. This cruelty free, anti-fluoride thing needs to end. It’s so limiting.
Ugh yes! Actually GOOD CF oral care is the hardest category to find! I can’t stand the crossover between Cruelty Free and anti-fluoride! It’s a similar issue for cleaning products (please stop substituting safe and effective chemicals with essential oils!). Thank god for CF brands like Puracy who actually make good cleaning products!
yasss - at my local grocery store we have good cf + fluoride options but you have to make sure you check the bottle to see the word FLUORIDE cuz you never know with these brands. it's a trend and it sucks, kinda with how lots of vegan products are gluten free
YES! It made me so happy! I’m on high strength prescription toothpaste because of my medication causing cavities and it makes me so irritated when I hear people talk about anti-fluoride anything because they don’t realise how important it is!!
I'm an Asian sunscreen lover. Drugstore just doesn't have anything that compares. I am using Scinic right now and I love how fast it dries down, but I would also recommend innisfree and beauty of joseon! Abby Yung has great recommendations!
Also recommending the Canmake Mermaid Skin sunscreen! It’s super inexpensive, SPF 50, and doesn’t have any or the greasy / pilling issues other sunscreens often have
I agree! Innistree and centella (spelling may be off) are my go to sunscreen and since I switched to K-beauty sunscreen I consistently wear it and those two go well with all makeup I’ve used with no issues!
My absolute most favorite SPF (which I can easily use the recommended amount)is the one from Beauty Of Joseon (cruelty free). It has 30% rice extract, adenosine and lactobacillus bioferment in it. It is great for under makeup. From the same brand, I also highly recommend Glow Serum Propolis and Niacinamide serum. It brilliantly brightens redness and illuminates, and has propolis, niacinamide and salicylic acid in it.
Totally agree about Beauty of Joseon, it's just hard to get a hold of. Stylevana has great prices on it if you don't mind waiting at least a month for shipping.
ITS SO GOOD!!! It’s not readily available in my country so I ordered 4 full sized and one mini for my bag when I’m out and about! It’s the only suncream that doesn’t break me out & ive tried over 30 sun creams in the last few years!!
Omg I'm so glad it's not just me that finds it impossible to find a face spf that won't peel off, break me out, leave a white cast and stay put underneath my makeup. I have tried so many of them and I think the one that I enjoyed the most was the Paula's choice one...
@@wplants9793 it's the resist anti aging moisturiser spf 30. It has been so far the only one that has really worked for my oily skin. It's a bit pricey which is why I am trying to find an alternative
My favorite CF lip balms are by Jack Black. Super hydrating and so many fun flavors I've been using Bite for toothpaste. Eco conscious and has a flouride option!
You’ve got to try the Mad About Skin Sunscreen! Great protection, cruelty free, affordable, hydrating enough to skip moisturizer (!!! And I never do that) has antioxidants, looks glowy but not *too* glowy on the skin. That and the Beauty of Joseon are my holy grails. Highly recommend just about everything from MAS, and his channel is so informative! Get on it girl!
Kelly, you have to try the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen! It's cruelty-free. Have also heard wonderful things about Purito, also c-f. I haven't tried the latter yet but have a bottle on the way.
Also try the beauty of joseon niacinamide glow serum it's so good hydrating glowy and just makes the skin radiant. Niacinamide is a power house ingredient. Highly recommend
I love the purito daily go-to sunscreen! It feels lightweight and has never messed w my makeup. It's not nearly as hydrating as my favorite sunscreen (Josie maran spf 47 non tinted) but I do have pretty dry skin.
Great empties! I highly recommend the EOS lip balms in the stick form not the round ones. They are so good and the flavors are great. Between my teen girls and I we have tried so many lip balms and this is the favorite.
The neutrogena ultra sheer moisturizing face serum and invisible daily defense face serum are the best drugstore sunscreens I’ve found. I use them both interchangeably, they’re both in the same pump bottle with spf 60. They don’t leave a white cast, don’t break me out, don’t burn my very sensitive eyes, and aren’t super greasy so they sit well under makeup and don’t pill. Best American sunscreen I’ve been able to find. My favorite sunscreen period is the beauty of Joseon sunscreen which is only a couple dollars more on Amazon, super watery and hydrating but sets down and doesn’t pill. It’s a more elegant version of the neutrogena.
I buy a Eucerin sunscreen that is oil-free from a French Farmacy brand online and it is spf 50. I have oily skin and it’s the only formula I have found that leaves my skin looking normal. They have the same one here in the US at drugstores but the UV filters are different. It’s worth trying if you like your spf to feel like a moisturizer. It’s the Eucerin Oil Control Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50.
I’ve been using the La Roche Posay Double Repair moisturizer with SPF for my daily facial moisturizer and sunscreen. It is pretty thick, but it spreads out nicely and sinks into the skin. Not greasy and no fragrance.
Hi! I use the Bondisands SPF 50 and Blackgirl Kids SPF 50! Both are great, very moisturizing and price point is sooo good. In the summer I skip moisturizer and just use sunscreen (so my face doesn’t feel so greasy and heavy) which is completely fine per my derm.
Bliss has what I would call a dupe for the farmacy honey mask. It's not the same sticky texture but it does warm up and seems to work the same on my skin. It's the in the honey mega moisturizing lavender honey mask. You should test it and see if it's a dupe or if I'm just thinking it is lol because the honey.
The tinted Australian gold sunscreen is good, I do find it thick but it never pills and no white cast. I just ordered some Korean sunscreen to try because I prefer a thinner formula. Hopefully I like something I ordered.
I’ve tried it but it’s too whitecasty (even though it’s tinted and I’m light) and chalky for me ~ super dry. I’m wondering if mine is getting old bc so many other people like it
Honestly I really like Elf’s new glowy sunscreen. I don’t put on a different moisturizer underneath, and it seems to work okay for me with oily/combo skin
sunscreen recs: australian gold botanical is a GAME CHANGER for body. it’s not greasy at all and smells amazing. i’ve used so many tubes of it. for face, i liked krave beauty beet shield which they just brought back as beet the sun, it’s sitting in my cabinet waiting for me to finish my current spf but if it’s like the original ima be obsessed with it.

The SuperGoop watery face lotion is such a nice, thin SPF that I find pairs so well with most my makeup/skincare! I’m shocked more people aren’t into it
You asked for an spf suggestion. I only use Korean sunscreens. I find that my favorites are the Missha aqua lotion 50spf++++ and the Beauty of joseon one. I find them to be very cosmetically elegant. I also use the cleansing balm from Beauty of joseon. They are inexpensive too.
I used up my Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer (have a backup of it since it's the best tinted moisturizer out there from the drugstore), Elf Camo CC Cream in Light 210N (which I need to repurchase more since I love how it covers up with a green color corrector), Colourpop Pretty Fresh Powder in Light 8N my second favorite powder foundation, and Elf Camo Powder Foundation. I love how the Camo Powder Foundation feels on the skin and then go in with the Colourpop one and it makes my skin so smooth. I just tried doing the underpainting of makeup which is complexion products backwards but I normally start with powder and then a setting spray and start my complexion for a natural makeup look. I'm so sad that I used up the Humphrreys Soothe and Clarify Witch Hazel and it's my favorite toner. I'm so sad that I'm using up my Clear and Clear Am and PM Face Wash.
Not drugstore but cheap at Sephora- the innisfree sunscreen! (I also really like the Paula’s choice youth extending hydrating fluid but it’s more expensive, also so thin though!)
I actually also use the super goop sunscreens and to me it's expensive, but at the same time there have been soooo many scandals about sunscreens not meeting their marked UV ratings and I'm so over it. I used to exclusively use neutrogena but stopped because of the UV protection issue. I don't mind using more sunscreen of a slightly lesser quality (supposedly) but none of the sunscreens publish how much lower their actual protection actually is which makes adequate protection that much more iffy. I am really glad that supergoop does have their UV testing documentation(?) public so we can see that independent 3rd parties agree that their UV protection is what the bottle actually says. I actually also bought an australian body sunscreen because Australia has much more stringent rules about their sun protection because apparently their sun damage is a lot worse there compared to the US, but it has the unsurprising white cast and stickiness. i stopped using american drugstore sunscreen and i exclusively use korean sunscreens. i love the skin 1004 centella hyalu-cica sun serum and the COSRX aloe soothing sunscreen. both are fairly inexpensive especially the COSRX one. they’re also SPF 50 and cruelty free!!!
Have you tried any of the Ultra Violette sunscreens? I use the yellow one ( supreme screen hydrating facial sunscreen) but they have a great variety and they are lovely under makeup. Xx
The hero cosmetics sunscreen is my favorite, it doesn’t break me out and if you want a basic no frills sunscreen, the hero cosmetics sunscreen is just that
Banana boat light as air sunscreen is great! I also go through lippe balm soo quick. Won't be repurchasing. I would skip on the good molecules cleanser. It wasn't worth it.
I rarely comment, but I have a brow pencil that is cool toned and GREAT! The Hourglass Arch brow *micro* sculpting pencil in --> Platinum blonde. Trust me! My hair is the same color and I swatched several.
I LOVE the Dr Bronners lip balms. They are the best! Very moisturizing and about $4 at Target! I prefer the u scented but they also have lime and peppermint.
Thank you for stressing the importance of Fluoride. I used to be a "clean beauty" "non toxic" freak until I went to school for dental and learned that the whole time I was scared of fluoride bcs the study that was done, was done with a WAY HIGHER dosage than what you normally get from toothpaste or at the dentist. Dosage makes the poison... seems like common sense now, it wasnt back when I was in the "non toxic" ecochamber lol
If you decide you like it, you can also get a value size version from their site and maybe also Credo that puts it at a price per ounce that is less than many drugstore options (I may have an extremely detailed SPF spreadsheet...)
you should try CeraVe ultra light moisturizing lotion with spf30. It's perfection under make up or on its own no matter how much I apply. I have repurchased it 10 times!
truly the only sunscreens i use are the black girl sunscreen for kids on days im not wearing makeup (it’s spf 50 which is a higher spf than their original formula and not as glowy since i have oily skin) and the canmake clear (it has to be the clear one, the white one WILL give a white cast lol) mermaid skin gel for under my makeup which is spf 50 PA++++ i believe. the BGS kids works perfectly fine underneath makeup it’s just too glowy for my oily skin so the canmake sunscreen is perfect for that. plus neither of them pill, burn my eyes, or give a white cast!!
I might look into Korean sunscreens. A lot of the chemical sunscreens use newer filters so they're completely clear but aren't irritating to my eyes or skin. I personally love the Tocobo bio watery sun scream SPF 50+ PA ++++ and the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF 50+ PA++++
I just realized how little balm was in the Drunk Elephant Lippie Balm. I think I have used this before but I noticed just last night how little product was in the container. another product from Glow recipe Avocado line is the eye cream. It’s in a small glass pot. There’s a lo of product n the pot
I used to use the drunk elephant jelly cleanser and switched because it just wasn’t worth the price as a rinse off product. Ive been using the innisfree dewy glow jam cleanser and it’s so nice for $13!
I've been using the ACURE Overnight Bakuchiol Treatment so far my skin likes it. It's hydrating but smells kinda bad but I put it on before bed & I don't need it to smell good as long as it does it's job. My skin can't tolerate retinol well so I'm going the Bakuchiol route.
Any skincare that I can't use on my face, I use up on my feet. I walk so much for work (dog walking) and I just know my feet can get neglected. Specifically lip balms I don't like, they become foot balms lol. And my no 1 lip balm recommendations are always my lanolips or jack black lip balms. They both have lanolin in them, which i have learned gets along absurdly well with my skin. They also both don't have any coconut oil in them (which irritates my skin) which is so hard to find hoo boy.
i just bought some of the Byoma moisturizer on your rec, the lighter version. ive been using the Tatcha water cream, which i do love, but its super pricey-my 54 yo skin is kinda picky though. but worth trying to see if the Byoma can work for me. Thanks for all your hard work, gorgeous!!!
Kelly have you tried DRMTLGY Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF46? It’s a combination sunscreen (physical and chemical). It feels and looks like foundation. I’m hooked!
I’m waiting for Farmacy to bring back the very cherry scented cleansing balm. It’s my favorite and I’m almost out 😢. I love the smell. It reminds me of Bluebell Cherry Vanilla ice cream. Praying they bring it back so I can restock 🙏 .
Personally a fan of the Black Girl Sunscreens, especially the kids version. I guess it doesn't provide any AMAZING benefits for my skin besides sun protection but I don't have to think about it which is all I want
I have the exact opposite opinion of the 2 Glow Recipe products! I have severe rosacea & the green Avocado Recovery serum really helps calm everything down before applying makeup. And the pink Niaciamide drops, while a lovely product, is not worth the money to me as there's lots of primers that achieve the same result. IMO, of course. :)
Have you tried colorscience spf? I like the regular face shield sometimes mixed with the matte version. I’m looking for a good one too, that doesn’t break me out….
Have you ever tried any Korean or Japanese sunscreens? Trust me, you will never deal with ANY of those issues ever again once you use them:) They’re very lightweight, like water gel consistency a lot of the time, they don’t pill at all, absolutely no white cast whatsoever, they don’t have any sunscreen smell at all, aren’t heavy and greasy on the skin, (in fact they have a great selection of ones that dry down matte which I think you’d really like) and wear *incredibly* well under makeup. They’re almost always at least 50spf or higher so you get excellent sun protection. It literally changed my life and helped me get rid of my hyperpigmentation and melasma. AND most don’t burn your eyes either even though they’re typically chemical sunscreens. Beauty of Joseon is one of my very favorites.. iunik centella calming daily sunscreen is also fantastic, Etude surprise mild airy finish, and B Lab Matcha hydrating real sunscreen- these are my all time favorites out of all the countless sunscreens I’ve tried. And, they’re *far* more affordable than regular sunscreens typically. Hope this helps:) I’d definitely check them out if I were you.. you’ve been missing out!!❤
It's incredibly difficult to find a brow product for vibrant red/orange hair. Auburn is too dark and always looks like it has magenta or pink in it. Taupe is too ashy, brown is too dark, blonde is too light. My perfect brow shade is abh stawburn but I don't like the products that come in that shade. My favorite pencil is the huda but there's not a perfect shade, warm and Carmel blonde are okay, but I go through it so fast. The benefit tiny brow pencil lasts the longest but there's not a good shade and the pencil is still pretty thick and too creamy. Every brand with brow products should have more shades.
I tint my eyebrows and lashes-and still wear mascara- because mine are seriously white. Like white as f.. lol. With blue eyes. Very Nordic features. Hence why I love brown mascaras as you do.
Hello Hope all is well with you and all out there 😊😊😊😊 love this kind of videos, too bad in my country many brand I can't get them.... but it helps to keep going and use what I have in most cases: and in travel, what to buy.... Keep safe ❤❤❤ from Portugal
Do like mineral or chemical sunscreen? For mineral: Tula Mineral Magic Oil- Free Mineral Sunscreen Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 30. It makes my make-up look better even in photos For Chemical: Krave Beauty Beat the Sun (In fact, I highly recommend everything from Krave Beauty for you, since my other two go to brands are Peach and Lily and Farmacy plus Peach Slice Azelaic acid has been my Number 1 product for about a year now. So I get the vibe we might have similar taste. ). I prefer the Tula, but people can have strong preference on mineral vs chemical. I saw you had super-goop and that is a chemical, so I wasn't sure about your preference.
You might like the naturium niacinamide plus zinc or the ordinary niacinamide serum. I use the ordinary and love it but it's a thicker texture than naturium. Both affordable. I believe naturium is cruelty free don't quote me I think if it is, you would enjoy the naturium niacinamide serum.
Some sunscreen recommendations that maybe you haven’t tried Hero cosmetics force shield Paula’s choice super light daily wrinkle defense Pipette mineral sunscreen Clinique pep start spf 50
If you’re trying out Korean skincare, might be worth to check out Korean brow pencils - the undertones never pull too warm unlike American shade selections
ITA about the DE balm. I love the formula but I think it would be better in different packaging. I feel like a lot of product is wasted by 1)how wide the stick is and 2)how much is deep in the tube and hard to get out. I use the DE cleanser sometimes like if it comes in a set. I like it but not for the price on its own. I find the Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser to be similar - not necessarily all the ingredients but the general consistency, results, etc., and obviously the Inkey List is much cheaper.
I felt the exact same way about the PÜR glow drops, big disappointment. I just felt like it did nothing, and I I was totally turned off by how fragranced it was. I mainly bought it because it’s been on sale at Ulta, and I wanted to see if it would be an alternative to GR. Ironically, I haven’t dried the GR Dew Drops because of how fragranced it is.

i stopped using american drugstore sunscreen and i exclusively use korean sunscreens. i love the skin 1004 centella hyalu-cica sun serum and the COSRX aloe soothing sunscreen. both are fairly inexpensive especially the COSRX one. they’re also SPF 50 and cruelty free!!!
I agree with you on the US sunscreens. Even the 'child formulas' of those give me rashes. 😣
Love the skin 1004!
My favorite sunscreen is the Neutrogena invisible defense serum. Love it on it's own or under makeup.
Hawaiian Tropic Aloha care sunscreen is my go-to. I am not sure if it's easy to find in the US.
Have you tried any of the Ultra Violette sunscreens? I use the yellow one ( supreme screen hydrating facial sunscreen) but they have a great variety and they are lovely under makeup. Xx
The hero cosmetics sunscreen is my favorite, it doesn’t break me out and if you want a basic no frills sunscreen, the hero cosmetics sunscreen is just that
The bliss sunscreen is nice!
EARLY ISH I LOVE HER VIDS THEY MAKE ME SMILE
I absolutely love the Indeed Labs Cleanser!
My favorite sunscreen is the Australian Gold mineral tinted sunscreen SPF 50. No pilling!
I love the beauty of Joseon sunscreen and have heard very good things about the isntree watery sun gel
Uuugh freaking love empties videos!! Especially from Kelly! I’m hoping this will motivate me to go through my empties 😅
5:16 Covergirl (clean fresh line) makes a great lip balm especially the clear one and it’s $4-7 depending on where you buy it from
Paula’s choice spf 50 non-greasy formula is a good cruelty free option. It’s still a bit glowy, but not as much as others.
The Live Tinted sunscreen is incredible. The only high end skincare product I think is worth the money
Most of the time, we forget that sunscreen can be our morning moisturizer too: a 2 in 1 ;)
I just realized how little balm was in the Drunk Elephant Lippie Balm.
I really like the bondi sandis sunscreens
The Farmacy night mask link, is taking me to the good molecules page. I’ll just search it, but thought I’d let you know!
I really love Ultra Violette sunscreen!
I don't think we can buy it in the USA, unfortunately.
your brows look fantastic! what brow gel do you have in?
i just bought some of the Byoma moisturizer on your rec, the lighter version. ive been using the Tatcha water cream, which i do love, but its super pricey-my 54 yo skin is kinda picky though. but worth trying to see if the Byoma can work for me.
Kelly, you might like the Live Tinted Hue Guard sunscreen. It’s fantastic!
Have you tried the new moisturizer from the Ordinary? It’s super hydrating. Very similar as I wake up flake free after tret.
Sunscreen recommendation: beauty of joseon rice~ it's really nice, not really drugstore 😅
Mad Hippie Serum Sunscreen is my holy grail
I *just* hit pan on my Covergirl powder today!
Hope this helps:) I’d definitely check them out if I were you.. you’ve been missing out!!❤
Have you tried the drmtlgy spf tinted moisturizer? I love it!
Have you tried Ultrasun? It's a Swiss brand and it's the only SPF I like underneath make-up thus far.
Every brand with brow products should have more shades.
love empties videos 👍 ... 1.69- 1.7 oz is the standard moisturizers size 😉🤗
I tint my eyebrows and lashes-and still wear mascara- because mine are seriously white. Like white as f.. lol. With blue eyes. Very Nordic features. Hence why I love brown mascaras as you do.
Hello Hope all is well with you and all out there
😊😊😊😊 love this kind of videos, too bad in my country many brand I can't get them.... but it helps to keep going and use what I have in most cases: and in travel, what to buy....
Keep safe ❤❤❤ from Portugal
Do like mineral or chemical sunscreen?
For mineral: Tula Mineral Magic Oil- Free Mineral Sunscreen Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 30. It makes my make-up look better even in photos
For Chemical: Krave Beauty Beat the Sun (In fact, I highly recommend everything from Krave Beauty for you, since my other two go to brands are Peach and Lily and Farmacy plus Peach Slice Azelaic acid has been my Number 1 product for about a year now. So I get the vibe we might have similar taste. ).
I prefer the Tula, but people can have strong preference on mineral vs chemical. I saw you had super-goop and that is a chemical, so I wasn't sure about your preference.
The farmacy niacinamide mask’s link is actually the good molecule one
Have you tried Korean sunscreen? Beauty of Joseon is one of my fav. And the round lab one. 😁
I’ve had a lot of recommendations to try that one! I need to pick it up!
Some sunscreen recommendations that maybe you haven’t tried
Hero cosmetics force shield
Paula’s choice super light daily wrinkle defense
Pipette mineral sunscreen
Clinique pep start spf 50
I love that necklace! Link please?
If you’re trying out Korean skincare, might be worth to check out Korean brow pencils - the undertones never pull too warm unlike American shade selections
What about elf’s?? I want to try that one!
The peach and Lily matcha moisturizer breaks me out :(
I felt the exact same way about the PÜR glow drops, big disappointment.
