Fender built the Stratocaster and god the almighty created David Gilmour to play it 😇🥰
Gilmore’s black Strat sold at auction for over 4 million dollars .
@@raymondmanderville505 WHO?
No such thing as god, genetics and evolution created Mr Gilmore
@@kevinstringer9232 And you created a new spelling of his name 😅
Don’t ya just luv predictive text!
This is the greatest live music performance in the history of mankind. There's no shame in being emotional.
So true i was in Copenhagen during this tour epic to see and feel this live once in a lifetime
There’s music and then there’s Pink Floyd,,, There’s guitarists and then there’s Dave Gilmour ,,,,timeless❤lovely reaction
There is a song on "Animals" where he plays the most gorgeous change of rhythm in the history of music. After almost 60 years it still gives me goosebumps every time.😵
You know.. Nothing that Dave plays is terribly difficult but his style is so unique. If you've not seen Brit Floyd I promise you.. You're missing out. It's as close as you'll ever get to seeing Pink Floyd.
Amen.
Perfectly said.
You don't listen to pink Floyd you experience Pink Floyd. Great to see the younger generation falling love with the classics
No worries, dear. I've heard this hundreds of times, and still get teared up. Gilmour is beyond belief.
I love how raw and pure her reactions are. It makes me appreciate what we have taken for granted these many decades..
Hits ya un feels
THIS SOLO IS CONSIDERED THE BEST GUITAR SOLO EVER MADE... (VOTED FOR THE ROCK MAGAZINES)❤❤❤
One of the greatest guitar solos you will ever hear. Period.
I love watching young people hearing what I grew up with. I'm 62. To see the tears and amazement on their faces is so satisfying. To experience what was normal in my youth and to hear how the world has changed. Those moments of speechlessness when the final symbols crashes and they return to their bodies are epic.
"This is not music" your 100% correct Starr. It transcends music, makes you feel the music, not just listen to it. Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps. If I've said it once I've said it 100 times, David Gilmour is the only person who can make the guitar actually sing. He doesn't play it, it becomes part of him. If only I could go back in time this would be on the top of my list. Check out 'Time', 'Wish you were here', 'Another brick in the wall', there's so many.
Jerry Garcia played melody. His guitar playing is distinctive, so that even some non-deadheads can recognize it after a few notes.
All the guitars in the world want David Gilmour for Christmas! 😜
The lyrics tell you a story, but the guitar solo has you thinking of your own story.
Even 40+ years later, Pink Floyd can still bring me to tears. You are correct, Pink Floyd is more than music. Thank you for reacting.
The greatest audio experience a pair of ears can have.
It's okay to get emotional to this song. I had a buddy of mine, a guy, who told me that Lynyrd Skynyrd's FreeBird has the best guitar solo. So I made him watch this video. And at the end, he turned to me and said, "Dude! I almost cried..."
Best Band of all times 😎👍 next one from Pink Floyd - On the Turning Away ( live to the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert 1988 ) 🎸🎶🎶
I was fortunate enough to be in the audience for this performance. One of the greatest experiences of my life.
I saw this tour in Washington DC, best concert I ever saw.
真是让人嫉妒,我的朋友!
Lucky bugger. I wish each time I see it I could have been there.

Good reaction. Don't stop, never stop, live the music. Still get chills after listening to it for 50 years.
That's what a Soul sounds like when it screams its truth.
I still quite often tear up during this song. Loved your reaction.
Michaelangelo’s David
Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa
Gilmour’s Comfortably Numb Solo
What a wonderful reaction, young lady.
I'm 71, and I'm still deeply moved every time I hear and watch this video.
And I, too, would call it spiritual. ❤
she felt what we have always understood brother!......passing it forward
@@betteryoubetter Thanks so much for your comment. 👍✌️
This is one of the greatest guitar solos of all time! The music today doesnt even come close! This is true mastery of your craft, not the regurgitated crap they spew out on the radio these days!
*the greatest
It's ok to cry. Anyone who knows and appreciates GOOD guitar ability will also recognize this as a spiritual performance if there ever was one. I cry watching this because I do know how much work and total body and soul he put into this performance.
Brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it.
Since the begining of the song she knew she was in for a ride, Pink Floyd is not a band you listen to, is a band you go in a journey to. Your teary eyes say everything, thank you for this reaction, keep it going.
Every guitar wants David Gilmour for Christmas... You just witnessed one of the greatest written and performed guitar solos ever written. It is a masterpiece. Gilmour has a way of reaching right down into your soul when he plays. He definitely tugs at your heart strings. Pink Floyd is not just music, it's an experience... I was fortunate enough to see them on this tour. It was the greatest experiences I've ever had (at a concert). I think you would also enjoy "The Great Gig in the Sky" (Pulse Concert) it's another musical and spiritual journey. Love your reaction!
You do not cry during the solo thats your soul flying around Gilmours notes ❤
Beautiful
It's always so cool to see people who GET Pink Floyd. At many times you just closed your eyes and floated away with the music....THAT is Pink Floyd!!! Great reaction!
Such a beautiful and genuine reaction. Welcome to the world of Pink Floyd. Great video
Cette musique me caresse l'âme ...
You're right - one doesn't LISTEN to Pink Floyd, one EXPERIENCES them. One of the best live shows & guitar solos of all time. Thanks for your reaction.
If this song doesn't move you to tears, there is something wrong with you! You just witnessed one of the greatest guitar solos of all time. Great reaction; don't pull any punches!
Seeing it live was euphoric. Greatest guitar solo ever. Saw them back in the early 80's.
*"It has a spiritual feeling."* ... Well-stated!
Pink Floyd still makes my eyes watery as well.
It's amazing how powerfully emotional David Gilmour's guitar can be.
So glad you got to experience this masterpiece! Your reaction was so special! 😊
this song has a similar effect on everyone,..... but for people as sensitive, pure and emotional as you and your beautiful sisters, it would be overwhelming...
You’ve touched Pink Floyd, one of the best bands ever. Time to do more. Try Time, On The Turning Away, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Us and Them to start. 😊
You don’t just hear a Pink Floyd song. You EXPERIENCE it. Welcome down the rabbit hole!
I cried too! I was a young man once upon a time when I first heard that. Life changing!
Shine on You Crazy Diamond from the Wish You Were Hear album I'd highly recommend to you. The sound will transform you to another time and place. It's a masterpiece
Beautiful reaction. I am turning 63 this year, and have been listening to old time rock and roll since the 70's, and I have never heard another band/group like Pink Floyd, don't think we ever will again either. I have seen them twice in concert, here in Montreal, and of the 30+ shows I have been to, nothing else compares, really.
Just to let you know, the version of the video you just watched was the edited version. The UNCUT version is more than a minute longer, and it was all cut from the finale. The reason was that David Gilmour, the guitarist, thought he heard an "iffy" note, so edited it out. My thinking is that even with that note, which is not longer than a second or so, the other MINUTE and 4 or 5 seconds are still David Gilmour NOT playing 'iffy' notes and should be heard.
Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands that there's ever been and every song is more beautiful than the next. I hope you continue this journey. ✌🏽💜
Enjoy again, & again.
You'll never forget this as long as you live. Believe me, I'm 71.
One doesn't merely listen to Pink Floyd, one EXPERIENCES Pink Floyd. Welcome aboard....
Love this open and honest response.
Its nice when all people can enjoy fine music together.
Watching your reaction was beautiful! Thank you for reacting to this.
Welcome to the Pink Floyd family!! I loved your reaction so much and I really really hope you’ll continue on this journey with us Floydians 🙏🏼 That band has literally changed my life and their songs becomes more relevant as you age. I will actually say that this band is so much more important, meaningful, inspiring and relevant to this day than when it was released!! ❤
Your comments are very accurate. I was very young when I first heard this and loved the dreamy quality of the song. Now that I am so much older...different song altogether. More meaningful and deeply moving.
@@DanFan2042 Same thing here. I was in my mid teens when this album came out. I wore the Iron oxide off the cassette. I was too young to appreciate it then, but now rapidly approaching 60, it hits way differently and much harder. I'm not a "music head" and don't spent a lot of time listening to music, but in the last year or so I've hit on these reaction channels and it's a hoot to watch these "babies" rocking out to the stuff we grew up with (and mostly took for granted). Music has changed so much since the '70s & '80s, and not for the better. I only discovered this video a few weeks ago, and am now obsessed with it. A few times a day I will watch the various reaction channels with this performance to see if they "get it". Some do and some don't. Those that don't I consider "dead" inside. This performance should also come with a disclaimer when it's requested: Resist the urge to close your eyes! I know the vibe of the song encourages you to close them to focus on the stream of mind altering sound, but with Floyd, the light show is the cherry on top. She totally missed the Ball/Flower drop b/c she had her eyes closed!
I was at this concert and every time these videos are shown it brings back memories. What a night it was. Never to be repeated. Amazing show from start to finish.
Lucky bastard
I'm jealous. As great as it is on video I can't begin to imagine what it was like actually being there. I feel like for me it would have been one of those pivotal points in life you never forget and probably can never put into words exactly what you experienced. One of those moments you immediately know you will cherish for the rest of your life because while there will be other great moments, there will never be THIS great moment again. What a performance.
I was there too. Everyone was stunned and in total disbelief at what we were witnessing. Grown men in tears, including me.
Pink floyd will go down in history to create the most POWERFUL music ever
may be the best live guitar solo ever. Its like its singing too.
When you get THAT kind of emotional reaction from watching the band on a small screen and through headphones, IMAGINE what it was like to be THERE that night!!
Surrounded by the amazing clarity of the sound. . . Sound that can punch you in the chest and make your bones vibrate. .
Along with thousands and thousands of people around you, and they are all TRANSPORTED by the music, the same as you are. . .
The lights. . the movement. . . Overloading all your senses. . . GLORIOUS!
It would have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience that would have been amazing. .
Some guitarists can play a milion notes a minute and are fantastic. . David Gilmour can play ONE note and creep into your soul with it. . .
I was at this show in Earls court in 94 I believe it was. I wasn't a huge fan coz i was a metalhead and only went because a friend was a massive fan. I came away with my mind blown.
That night was one of the best nights of my entire life, honestly when Gilmour played that guitar solo I saw grown men cry (I was one of them).
It's not just a guitar solo, it's "The Guitar Solo"...
Pulse Tour is one of my favourite of all time, no contest, watched it so many times. Love it!
There are no musicians or band exists today music is not the way it used to be. Great reaction by the way.
Gilmour turns his guitar into a another singing voice. Its beyond brilliance.
Funny you'd say that. I'm putting together a video of "the voice as an instrument," but this is a case of "the instrument as a voice."
@@ShroomKeppie I'd love to check it out when you finish it. Please post it and send me the link when you have it. Thanks ahead of time.
David Gilmour does not simply play the guitar. He tells a story with it.
As good music as ever produced by mankind.
Pink Floyd achieves this with much of their music.
I NEVER get tired of hearing this performance. Breathtaking and transcendent beauty
Right
This is honestly the cutest reaction I’ve seen in a long time. I would give anything to hear this song for the first time again
Starr, you are right, this is more than music. The line "Hello is anybody in there" makes you think.
It sometimes seems difficult to choose between watching the video or listening to the music.
With Pink Floyd, there is so much to watch and listen to, that sometimes our senses seem to compete for our attention.
Luckily it's easy to watch or listen to again.
When I was hearing this song on the Pulse concert in my city back in 1994, I lost it completely! Been crying so badly. It was just overwhelming. The sound, the light show, all the people with open mouth and teared eyes around, like me not able to grasp the intensity... Amazing memories! 🥰☺
Even after all these years my eyes still tear up at the second guitar solo. 🎸
I think it's impossible to listen to that performance and not have an emotional response to it. Just incredible.
Pink Floyds music must be experienced by one's own ears it's impossible to put into words.
I recognize the look on your face, I’ve seen It many times …you were taken on a journey, an out of body experience and you were completely blown away… I have seen Pink Floyd live four times and imagine looking around the stadium and seeing everyone with the same astonished look that I saw on your face. I remember I felt like I melted into my seat at the concerts.
This song has an emotional pull & a weight to it that affects people in a very visceral way (yours would not be the only tears)... maybe because we're all, to some degree, damaged. Pink Floyd managed to tap into this emotion, especially with "Comfortably Numb."
Iam 67 and have been privileged to see them 3 times more than a concert it was an experience you not only heard you seen and felt the music. I am so happy this concert in particular is on film so the younger generation can experience as much ass possible the geneous and emotion of David Gilmore and Pink Floyd.
What a wonderful reaction! I was lucky enough to be at this concert. One of the greatest experiences of my entire life. It was like magic to be there. You and your reaction are beautiful.❤
Pink floyd giants in the progressive sycadelic rock world im 73 years young and have been enjoying their music for fifty odd years these guys dont pretend to be good at what they do they are pure geniuses and a class above anyone else they make you feel their music its a beautiful emotional journey they take you on and they make you think about life differently with their lyrics they are unique and there is no one else like them incredibly talented enjoyed your reaction your hooked now like all the other worldwide fans im enjoying the journey and im sure you will too
Everything from this concert is that good, as it was from many of their earlier tours.......
This was 1994 but Echoes live at Pompeii in 1972 is just as good.
This song is about a real life pre concert event / sickness that the writer, Roger Waters , experienced.
The album is about his own life from childhood up to when he wrote the songs....... disguised as being about a rock star named Pink. lol
One more soul following Pink Floyd deep inside herself. You just know when someone gets it and she did just that.
They are truly an experience for sure. Their sound transcends music. Check out "Time" by them next, studio version.
Time followed by Great Gig in the Sky back to back. No stopping in-between them.
A lot of us who show up to these Pink Floyd reactions is because we want to to see the emotion we have felt all of our lives by experiencing Pink Floyd. Especially when it crosses cultures. Pink Floyd set out in the beginning not to give you just music, but to give you a feeling. They expended a massive budget on lighting and effects as they always have.
I was fortunate to be at one of their concerts. It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences. My wife and I sat in the last row of a giant amphitheater surrounded by bikers in a cloud of marijuana smoke. My wife wore a pink dress. This is a very emotional song. I tried not to cry. Tried really hard.
This was a beautiful reaction. Thank you for being deeply immersed in it and not pausing every 30 seconds to comment on some trivial things.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Pink Floyd. Please react to the entire album, Dark Side of the Moon, from beginning to end. Enjoy!
Beautiful melodies, fabulous voices and exquisite instrumental techniques.
Welcome to Pink Floyd.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I have cried many times to this solo
Saw this in Denver. No words do justice. Welcome to Pink Floyd.
You have to have your sisters watch this with you!!😊
This woman has a deep soul for music....you can see it.
Pink Floyd is not just music. It is an experiance
The look on your face says it all. You don't ever want it to end.
Let's get serious this will never be beaten utter perfection
The notes he hits make me cry, too.Your description and reaction are beautiful….
The only guitar player whos soul transcends into his guitar a true artist
In my youth i went to many concerts. In '94 Pink Floyd played at the Carrier Dome Syracuse NY. I was able to be there for it. This was by far the pinnacle of my concert experiences. Will never forget it. Its true you dont just listen to Pink Floyd, you truly do experience them.
Same concert...Coming Back To Life, Sorrow, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, High Hopes, Keep Talking. Pink Floyd will touch you in places you never knew you had. Also, listen to On The Turning Away, LIVE...simply amazing.
You don't listen to PINK FLOYD you experience it with all their music🎤🎵🎶🔥♥️🎤🥁🎸😉♥️
There are only a few pieces of music that can make people cry ✌️❤️
So Beautiful, The Pulse,"Comfortably Numb" Nothing Compares to Pink Floyd, The Best at Performance and the Best Light Show I've Ever Seen in My 61 Years!! Most Kids today have no Idea what a great Band they Were, Hopefully they Will discover How GREAT MR DAVID GILMOUR Is and Always Will Be Awesome, PF Will Carry On Even When I'm Gone!!
You dont just listen to pink floyd ,you experience pink floyd
Pink Floyd is a spiritual experience, food for the soul every time 😎
This is when the ART meets the receiver.
Good for You.
I love over emotional songs. That’s probably why Pink Floyd is my favourite band.
This pure reaction, the feeling of being blessed by something from out of time takes me back to my first listening to Shine On, You Crazy Diamond from Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here album. This is the next thing to listen to, followed by the ENTIRE Dark Side Of The Moon album (listening to one song only misses the point).
one of the best groups in the entire history of rock in the world and this particular song comes
big pink floyd
YOUR RIGHT!!!! PINK FLOYD IT'S NO MUSIC!!!! IS ART...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
