Need to check if my 2012 westminster has led h7 replacements already but if not it soon will have. Oh and arm rest knobs, side repeaters (not dynamic) and puddle lights
Turns out they don’t fit. The H7 has a different fitting which has a twist lock fitting which sits flush behind the bulb meaning it can’t lock this kind of bulb in. Sod’s law.
Hi Sam wasnt sure how to get in touch with You, but I have for sale some older parts for a Range Rover P38, parts consist of rear light lenses different types, air filters, fuel filters bushes, and various parts for the Air suspension, including pumps, I was gonna put them on Ebays but wondered I You may be interested in buying them, Regards Frank
fog lights look good (but yellow light cuts through fog better). The issue with the interior LEDs is that it makes the interior feel "colder" at night, which I was never a fan of. Think hospital feeling instead of warm interior feeling.
Sam, based on your recommendation I got these fog lights and installed them today. They look great. Now they are brighter white than the low beam headlights. What I appreciated is your install tips but maybe even more, the link to buy. It saved the stress of hoping I pick the ones that will fit. Thanks for the advice.
Hi. Sorry for my english if its sometime wrong, its self-learned. Connect DRL as well, I doing it.. If DRL power consumption is not big (apr 20W in total or even less I suppouse), you can take the power directly from output of relay R10 (located in engine compartment fuse box). Then DRL will go on always when ignition turned on. But, there is a small dalay (about 1 minute) when turn ignition off. Thats no problem I think, will work like "follow home" light. Put fuse and 5-pins relay between to swich DRL off when use headlights. Power for relay - headbeam connector, pin 11. I doing one more good thing, for free: I change seats bottoms. Now passenger seat (only bottom) is on driver side and driver seat on passenger side. Now seats looks like new, worn corners are inside and not visible. Need to remove seats. Take off the plastic, leather, replace the foam, also replace the passenger sitting-sensor for seat belt. Quite lot of work, half day at least, but not impossible, seats are absolutley similar.
I've just gone down that list, Sam. £106 no money really .. . the boot lights are what tipped me over the brink .. sensational. Thx indeed ... . for all your vids.
As for fog lights in Ireland - they're only supposed to be in Fog (visibility under ~100m) and falling snow. Reality differs substantially, as you've noticed .. a pet peeve of mine at times
Yeah noticed they're a lot more common in normal weather here, but I figured it was a cultural thing so haven't been going around flashing everyone as I would be in the UK 😆
Odd i just ordered the puddle lights, they came installed them, except my truck does not have a red wire, they both yellow. Cleaned the contacts and installed the lights easy enough, but they didn't work, flipped the connectors around, bent contacts, all that. Tested the lights from the jump start posts and they work fine. Fiddled some more, could get flash out of the driver side as I hit the key to open the door, but nothing else, stuck the bulb back in it works fine and now so does the passenger LED. It's almost as if there not enough voltage to run both lamps?
Honestly the most useful video out there I have seen, cheers mate and appreciate the channel mention with the guy who tests the headlights, useful information.
Nice video! Really cool what you did, for just a small amount of cash. Where do I find the main led lights again? Your affiliate link is not available anymore. 😢
I dont suppose you could do a vid on replacing speakers, especially the sub? Showing the location of all speakers would be useful too - I think I have a couple of blown speakers - (2012 Westminster 4.4)
Thanks for this...... late night shopping at 2am on Ali and just spent nearly £400. But all stuff I needed and based on your videos. I'd like to chat more about the sound and video system you've put in as I have quite a few questions. There are loads on the market and I'm spoilt with the system in my Audi Q7. So would love to know if you are still happy or if there are some buyers remorse with problems you have had. The chap at Halfords just gave me a shrug of the shoulders and really didn't have a clue what I was looking for. Thanks for the videos.
@@SamsMotors that would be fantastic I have fog lamps ready and waiting lol and all kinds of led’s on the way thanks for the vids it’s inspirational the boot upgrades are fantastic
Sam, awesome stuff. I got all upgrades. Are you going to connect the halo wires for the fog lights? I have searched everywhere and can’t find instructions on where the wires should be connected to.
Hey! Cheers! I haven’t done it yet, but I may do it before this winter sets in. My plan was to wire them via a relay so that they come on whenever the main headlights are OFF, so they function as a sort of DRL.
Hi Sam, have you thought about upgrading the cornering bulbs which point outwards, located beneath the front indicators? I’m not sure what size/fitment these are as haven’t looked at mine yet. Wonder if the whole headlamp unit needs to come out for them?
Like the LED fog lights and high beam H7 replacements... I'm definitely considering for mine. However, for the interior boot lights i just changed the bulbs for LEDs and not the whole unit.
Thanks for the video. I purchased LED bulb kits for my P38 and L322, just the bulbs by themselves. Makes a big difference. I have been reluctant to pry out the puddle lights in my L322 mirrors as they seem very tight and I am afraid of breaking the housings. May order the units you used as well as the LED driving lights. I recently replaced all the HID and H7 bulbs in my L322. It is much easier if you remove the entire headlight unit. Powerfull UKLtd has a video on how to do this. Cheers from Canada.
I've always been leary of Ailey express. You have given me some confidence. I'm near Chicago so takes a bit longer. I sure wish mine was right hand drive. Not many here
They’ve not let me down yet - also always use PayPal with them for extra security. Takes ages to get stuff here in Europe too - but at least it’s cheap!
I have the same Range Rover and I have been feeling the puddle and tailgate lights were pretty old school. I didn’t want to spend a fortune upgrading but now I’m definitely doing an upgrade. Great to see you posting more regular videos. Keep up the good work. 👍
All the upgrades are good apart from the side repeaters. Not even Katie Price would want those on her Range Rover and hers is pink. Would the headlights still be conformant with the Irish M.O.T.?

Great video Sam, good tips and nice upgrades all of them. Question, have you passed MOT with these lights upgrades? A year ago I read that these LED bulbs might not be legal under current UK DVLA regulations.
I've also discovered that the 6000 lights are illegal with a VERY SMALL sign on the Halfords product packet of their lights says "For off road use only." so be warned. I was told that they would not be passed at the MOT. so will keep the normal ones and change the at MOT time. ;-)
Hi! Can you point out which specific product you installed for the high beam LED replacement. Is it H7? Mine is 2012 L322 4,4 diesel. Thanks in advance!
So lucky you picked a 4.4 up before the rise. They're mega money now. My budget really only is for a very late 3.6. Would you still do it, or wait for the right 4.4?
What's your budget? I watched a 12 plate 4.4 TDV8 with 155k miles sell through Carswithnoreserve Reading (eBay) for £8,600 recently, and thought that was a pretty good price (assuming it's not a complete wreck). I'd still try to hold out for a 4.4 and maybe up your budget a bit if possible, as I reckon it's worth the extra outlay over the 3.6.
Loved every l322 video, looking forward to more content. Quick question though about the fog lights, any issues with warning lights on the dash? Powerful uk seemed to have issues with their led bulb replacement.
Cheers David, glad you enjoy them. No warning lights at all. I think because these LED units are a lot more powerful than the replacement bulbs, they draw enough power to keep the bulb check system happy - so no "blown bulb" warnings that you might get with a low power LED.
Very good like the simplicity of the transfer! I put a new fog lamp on the rear of the 110 to replace the smashed old one new one doesn’t work checked the fuse switch and wiring and it’s a dud! I saw the video and got shopping, puddle lights easy to fit, but my lights did not have a red wire. Hi Sam, Big fan of the videos. I have the spec L322 and I am also thinking about updating the H7 Halogens with LED units. Did you get any issues with Canbus warnings? Thanks.
Hey Tom, thanks. No CANbus warnings. These LEDs actually draw about the same 55W that the H7 Halogen bulbs did, (hence being so ultra bright) so to the lighting module they don't look any different.
Hi Sam, Love the Clips. Did you ever finish wiring in the angel lights on the Fogs ?. If so is there a clip and can you send me the link please. Rgds, Ken
Nice video! Great set of upgrades, bit worried about the foglight and headlight bulb swap as here in Spain they're quite hot on this when it comes to the MOT/ITV. But they certainly look brighter - did you notice any changes to the beam pattern at all? That's what would likely cause a fail... PS: You should have found affiliate links, we'd have been more than happy to support you with them!
As they're in the main beam I don't think the beam pattern matters all that much (might be wrong there) but no, seems similar to the halogen anyway. Cheers!
I do not think it is tarty at all. Keep it! Not only are they much brighter but they use much less power, and should prolong the life of your battery. All of these LED upgrades improve visibility and interior visibility as well The headlights should improve driving at night.

Hi Sam. Whats the socket size required for the H7 bulbs? Your link picks the h3, but theres lots of options which confuse me.

It will be interesting to see how long they last , excellent upgrade
Hi Sam are you going to do the led upgrade you mentioned to your original reversing lights. Keen to see how that goes…
Yep it's in the works, just need time to get the reverse lights stripped out and stripped down. Cheers

Would have been good to see what the indicators looked like in the dark too!, Otherwise a great informative video, I have ordered much of the same for my 2004 l322 bar the puddle lights, got a good deal too as it was my first time using aliexpress so got a new user discount plus free shipping to Cornwall!, Keep up the great work.
Happy days, AliExpress should be giving me a sponsorship deal! 😆
Hi Sam, great video and I will be upgrading to some of those LEDs. When you did the previous lamp upgrade video you mentioned doing an LED lamp upgrade to the existing reversing lamps. Did you find a decent upgrade for them? Cheers. Kevin
Thanks Kevin,
Yeah I have the parts ready to go, just need to find time to do the upgrade and film the process. I'll see if I can get it done this week. Cheers!
