Peace be upon you, my special one... Well done... A very comfortable explanation... I hope I can improve the speed of the fingers in my left hand... May you always be well and in good health.
Please explain more about the left hand. It seems like there is some interaction between the palm and the rim of the drum that is helping create some whip on your fingers
Usually when I declare a 5-minute lesson I go on and on and on over 30 minutes :) Your video is extremely cool and inspiring, enjoyed watching and I hope many will be inspired to fire up their Darbuka playing with this introduction and your wonderful channel!
Well, I play darbuka... it will be 17 years now. I can guarantee one thing - you won't be able to learn it in five minutes. To just start sounding reasonable and being able to meaningfully accompany melodic and rhythmic instruments, you need months. To develop all the rich ornaments and embellishments good player boast - years and years. Nice instrument, though! 👌
She can show you the strokes, demonstrate the sound in 5 mins😂. I have been playing since 08’ and yeah it take more than a few minutes. I am not freaking out about here technique though. I have done lessons with well regarded players and teachers that def. do things differently than she does.
So you really think she meant that only by watching a 5 minute video you’ll be an expert?. Lol. She is just giving basic and valuable information to anyone who definitely knows nothing about the darbuka. You missed the context and intent of this video. 🤦🏼🤦🏼
That is the most accurate instructions.
That guarantees the right sounds in short time.
Thanks
Keep those videos coming 👌
so helpful, thank you for making this!! i hope you're still able to make more tutorial videos on the darbuka for us beginners!!
