15:22 No, it doesn't work like that. They want him to use the blade so they die before spilling his secrets in case something happens. You don't just get the boost Kurapika got by having him use a blade on you and setting a restrictive rule.
I know this is an old post but what secrets about Kurapika do they not want to reveal? The Phantom Troupe already knows he's a conjurer or manipulator, a chain user, has Scarlett eyes so he's part of the Kurta clan, and he doesn't have any living family to protect because his clan is dead.
@@henrysingletary At that point in the series they didn't know Kurapika's name nor his appearance. They didn't know the specifics of his power nor were they sure about his exact nen affinity (there's still a difference what to look out for depending on if you're fighting a conjurer or a manipulator; Kurapika even used that against Uvo). They didn't know his exact relationship with others, including Hisoka, either.
19:10 not necessarily. They probably know the basics of eachothers powers but they don't know the extent of eachothers powers. For example hisoka only knew the abilities of 8 members. They actually try to hide their abilities to eachother as much as they can
They dont stay together all the time, feitan told in the beginner that was years since everyone was in the same mission, I don’t remember how many years. And hisoka is new in the trooper too, so he probably was just in 1 or 2 mission if everyone or maybe none
@@0cidd0 They almost all seem to have known Hisoka, so he might be "new" but he's been there for some time. Some of them didn't know Shizuku though, so she's probably even newer.
It's funny how Killua was upset with Kurapika for AGREEING to let them help when it was Gon's idea, but right before this Killua was the one upset because Kurapika WOULDN'T let them help when it was his idea.
It makes sense from his upbringing as an assassin. They previously were after the bounty to make some money and he knew they had no chance without Kurapika's help. Once the reward was canceled, it became an unnecessary risk.
Well before half of the members was dead, and the leader was dead, so it was more easier for them. now that they know everyone is alive and no bounty, so no reason to go after
@@Lightkie exactly but when he heard Kurapika risked so much of his life already, Killua wanted to deal with the troupe right then because he saw the risk of letting the troupe go for now. It's best to strike while the targets are down.
17:45 Yes, you can, that's why the fortunes are so incredibly sought after. They tell you what will happen in the near future, but you can change your actions and therefore potentially change the outcome. In a way, you can view the fortunes as a different reality, as a "what would have happened if the person never got their fortune"
I dont remember how it was in manga, but in HxH 99 show, Machi watched Hisoka vs Gon match in celestial tower, so she knows that there's a relationship between both.
4:32 That was changed in the anime, to make it more obvious to the viewer (a trend that annoys me). In the manga, Chrollo just said he would read everyone's fortune (and why shouldn't he?). The scene where Neon goes out shopping and Melody tells Squala "go watch over the Scarlet Eyes" was also added because viewers are idiots, amirite?
I love how you girls enjoy the show in every aspect and detail, don't let the opinions of others ruin the episodes for you. Hunter x Hunter is a different anime, which goes beyond just battles and fights everywhere, it is a little more of that, of the small moments, situations, complexities of the characters, personalities, ideological or simply philosophical dilemmas among many others positive things.
15:20 They wanted to have the nen blade as a failsafe. Kurapika can set a condition that should the guys get captured by the troupe, the nen blade activates, thus preventing the troupe from knowing his secrets (through Paku's abilities).
Nobanga and Pakunado are indeed very cool characters lol But which shows are they from? Cuz in HxH, there are 2 characters called Nobunaga and Pakunoda and they are pretty cool as well
phantom troupe, uvo got killed [other member] because you massacre kurta clan for their eyes so you spout bs like an eye for an eye when you started it... yeah phantom troupe need to cut down a peg
As you've seen the troupe is a very close knit group, they're pretty much each others family. Because of that, I would guess they aren't overly suspicious over each other. That being said Hisoka is an all around shady character and the other members recognize that. But I think the fact that he didn't change is fortune a lot led to their guards not being all the way up. Either that or they aren't aware of the scope of his abilities and how adept he his at using them.
This might have been a build up episode. But it did good character work in solidifying the friendship between Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio. Their gang for real. And I love seeing it.

It was clearly just exposition dump. come on now
The React Pack: “Pakunado”
Pakunoda: “am i a joke to you.”
So they still pronouncing their names atrociously lmfaooo
Still not as bad as Nubongo.

Typical transmuter personality

Also it does sometimes tell you what *not* to do, not just what happens. Like do not go down stairs you've never went up before.
Machi at least knows how Hisoka's power works, but they just didn't think of using Gyo on his fortune.
X Pakunado
O Pakunoda
😣
Guys don’t make them say the names right 😂
It’s way funnier this way
It was mentioned previously that Squala had a thing going on with Eliza. That's who he exchanged nods with.
The mispronunciation of the names has to be on purpose at this point 😂
i'm really curious why most english speakers always switch A and O in japanese names, except mike shinoda. nobody say his name mike shinado. 😅
Lol, yeah when I was a kid, everyone on TV shows and things pronounced sayonara as "sayanora"
Yea, Squala and Eliza are dating. They mention this a few episodes back when the Troupe were reading out details about the Nostrade bodyguards...

That only happened in the 99 anime.
No, she only watch Hisoka vs Kastro. When hisoka fight Gon she already had gone
Bunge gum has nothing to do with changing the prediction. You forgot about HIsoka second power.
TBF, it's shown as if there was a second sheet of paper attached to the original, which isn't necessary for Texture Surprise.
if they went back to Heaven's arena, they wouldn't get any money because they made it to the 200's. In the 200's you don't get prize money anymore.
