This movie is part of the reason I joined the military. Obviously wanted to be a seal 1st haha. But then my dad (Vietnam vet) told me the harsh reality of its brutal selection process. So I chose the next best thing haha. Hoorah! Respect to all the frogmen out there!
This scene has some truth to it. I remember reading somewhere that few of the actors/extras playing the African villagers personally experienced these atrocities during the Biafrah (might have spelled wrongly) war. This makes their reaction even more authentic and of course triggering their past trauma and reminding them of those hellish moments, which is heartbreaking.
The look on Bruce’s face when he made the decision….drew his sidearm, pulled out the suppressor….”CHILLS” every time. This is one of my favorite B.Willis movies ever! #WeveAlreadyBeenEngaged
** Fun fact, the sailor in the beginning with the Mohawk was the guy who walked in the diner on The Equalizer when Denzel commented on his hands not looking like someone who worked on utility poles

I know this takes place in Africa, but the plant life and jungle seems more tropical, I would bet money it was filmed on a Pacific Island or possibly South America.

I sat at a table not looking around at first, and they have all these display cases with outfits, and props from all of the films Bruce has been in. No, i did not meet Bruce, but i had the honor to sit and eat, and staring at THE SAME UNIFORM, in reflection of knowing we'll never get a performance like this again..... A navy LT is an 03 like a captain in the other branches. Being special forces I would assume he was a Mustang type of officer and spent a considerable amount of time as enlisted before receiving a commission
Simple straight forward humane quick and painless deaths. No prisoners, no jails, etc. The less physical contact the better. Burials at minimum required space apart minimum required depth apart.
