I adore the character Artie, who did become my favorite character. John played this part so absolutely fabulous and I adored the open nod to David Bowie and the celebration of not being that terrible word "Normal". I was worried the movie was going to be a let down but when I watched it I was stunned at how amazing it was but when I saw Artie I gasped and went " I adore that openly fab character!" As the character got more and more involved I was like "He is too cute and fab for words. I need this kind of friend in my own life !!"
Actually, Artie is the singular reason for the entire spin. I did not much care for any of the film itself or its ambitions.. But John's mounting this character is so completely engaging.. There really needs to be a brilliantly written script featuring Artie as the focal brilliance. A remarkable young actor....Bravo, Blessings and healings for him always
One of my favorite parts was when Cruella said Artie was going to make the outfits for the last mission and Harold said “I like him!” Very casually sweet.
Omg I love John, I wanna be his mom lolol. But yes more queer roles and more LGBTQ2S actors playing those roles!! Keep at it, things will change. My people use to be portrayed by white ppl with body paint and black braided wigs haha
