- The event I was SO looking forward to, Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios, is finally here and, BOY, do we have a lot to say. Tune in to see some of the highlights, including clips from the Holidays in Hollywood Show, as well as some of the lowlights (hello, torrential downpour!)

The lines got crazy closer to party time. We definitely avoided all of that by getting there early. People got really into the apparel aspect of it. I think that added to the fun!

And see that show. Yes, you can never underestimate the power of the Muppets. Bummer it rained in the end. But I am glad you guys overall enjoyed it! - Loren

It was first night mess kind of stuff! I think I'm a little more forgiving than some. (Like Mike, haha!) They've already improved some things, so they were listening to survey responses!

Was anything happening in Galaxy's Edge or Toy Story Land during the party?
Interesting that you would pick this over MVMCP. Most of the opinions I have seen said the opposite. I am wondering if Disney assumed more people would be riding rides like at the MK parties. That would distribute the crowd more. Edited to add: Mike and I think alike!
Haha, I know. I'm in the minority. I think that on a regular night, when it's not full of vloggers, media, etc, people would be more likely to ride the rides. Like Mike said, there were a lot of people doing coverage and with the event being only 4 hours, there wasn't time for that. A regular family might spend more time riding rides.
I don't love MVMCP. Other than the parade and the fireworks, I think it's boring. I don't eat a lot of sweets, so I'm not very interested in the treats. Jollywood had a much more adult vibe to it, cocktails, more savory snacks, and theming that was just more up my alley. I love the jazz music and the dancing all over the park. I think it could be amazing with some tweaks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
@@VillainsandVice My daughter and I are making a 4 day trip mid-December to celebrate my birthday and have decided not to do either Jollywood Nights or MVMCP. It will be our 1st time at WDW in December since 1990. Lots of other things we want to do.
There really is. Between all of the snacks around the parks and resorts and the gingerbread displays everywhere, decorations in the parks, the Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs...there's just so much to see and do. You don't NEED to do a party!
Ryan and I weren't sure who is sassier between you or Mike but after that terribly rude comment about your wet dog smell being the norm it may be confirmed that he is in fact sassier. Seems like they could make some improvements to the party, and though I haven't been to either I feel like I'd choose Very Merry at MK over Jollywood 🤷♀️
We have been hearing how bad the lines were
That first night they were horrendous. They got better as the season went on. I hope they have this again and learn from how the opening went this year! I'd really like to do it again!!
